Wolf Children

Chapter 4

Yuki's POV

As mother settled into her new job, I was undergoing a huge shock. I found out that no other girls played with rat snakes for fun. I was also the only girl who collected small animal bones and dried reptiles. The amount I realised that other girls didn't do those things, I was so embarrassed. That's when I decided. From then on, I was going to act more graceful and ladylike.

When Mother was made a new dress for me I remember being really happy. Thanks to the dress, I was able to fit in with my class and get along with my friends. Heaven only knows how much that dress helped me. The next year, it was hard to get Ame and Emiko to school.

"Get it? It's "I'm gone be a little boy all the way home." And Emi it's the same as mine for you." I said, as I walked in front of them. "Schools this way!" I yelled as I grabbed there hands, once I released they stopped following me. On the bus, I sat with my friend and we talked, and laughed. Ame and Emiko sat by them selves as they store out the window.

As time went by, Ame and Emiko seemed to be like how I was, like they didn't belong here, that they didn't fit in. During there second year they got bullied, I was always there to help at first. But when they didn't thank me I walked away,and they walked into there class room.

Some time during the third year of school they stopped coming. I loved school, and kept attending.

Ame's POV

Emiko and I stopped going going to school and went to work with Mum. Mum greeted her boss, Tendo.

"Oh, Ame, Emiko, is it a school holiday?" He asked my sister and I.

"Umm." I said shacking my head.

"So you're skipping?" He asked again.

"Yeah." I said while nodding my head.

"Haha. You can come here anytime." He said as he ruffed mine and Emiko's hair.

"Sorry for always bringing him here." Mum apologized as Tendo started to walk away.

While Mum was working, Emiko and I went to go see the wolf again. We bend down in front of the bars of its cage, and half changed into a wolf, while he walked up to us. He told us a few things, that could help us and everything, so the next morning we followed his advice and went ere we were instructed.

Yuki's POV

Another day and my younger siblings didn't show up. Well, in the end we got a transfer student in my class names Sohei Fujii. His seat is right next to me and during the day, he asked me if I owned any docs. I asked why and he said that I smelt like I do. I started to worry that he'll find out so I tried my best to stay away from him, but he kept following me.

After a while I felt the need to transform to get away from him, but I made a promise I wouldn't. So I started to sing the chant and run away, but he managed to confer me from escaping.

"Stop following me!" I yelled. "Don't come any closer!" I threatened.

"What are you doing?" He asked as he grabbed hold of my arms.

"Don't touch me!" I warned. I started to fell angry and scared. Then all of a sudden I started to yelp like a dog.

"Yuki! Yuki!" He yelled in worry. But it was too lat, I half transformed and cut his ear. He fell to the ground, and his blood was on my claws. I was trying so hard to calm down and to catch my breath. In the end, I got in trouble, his ear was bandaged up and they called both our parents.

Mrs Fujii yelled at Mum once I apologized. But she was cut off when Sohei said the one word.
