❤ Akkia and Parent Goals ❤
After they came back, the doctor came holding a beautiful baby girl in his hands.
He smiled while handing her to me.
She was sleeping now and covered in one of those hospital baby clothes they provided for her.
"When will I be able to visit Shameka?" I ask looking away from Akkia.
"When ever you'd like. We tried to figure the baby's father and get in touch with him but we couldn't find him. We could only find you." The woman explains.
"Shameka,I bet, is very pleased with you Ms. Hortan." The doctor says before him and the woman walked away leaving me, Akkia, and Nathan by ourselves.
*1 hour later*
"I can't believe we have to take care of her." Nathan says walking closer to us.
While we was walking out, we was talking about how we should shop for the baby.
We went by the store and bought some bottles and some of that special milk for the baby. We got a pink pacifier and a big duffle bag with ducks on them.
It was actually a really cute bag.
We also bought her some mini outfits,babyseat, and 3 packs of diapers.
The baby woke up and started crying as we was going down the Wal-Mart aisle. People started staring as I was trying to calm Akkia down.
"Nathan help me please." I say to him. He takes her gently from me and rocks her back and forth.
"Why didn't you get one of the pacifiers we bought for her?" He ask me.
"I'm sorry. I forgot." I say to him.
We payed for our stuff and walked to the car.
We seat the car seat up and made sure Akkia was safely in the seat before buckling up ourselves.
We had put a pacifier in her mouth and she kept sucking the pink inside.
"You would actually make a good father Nathan." I say to him.
"You would make a good mother." He adds smiling.
"Yea right. She was crying nonstop for me. I least she stopped when you held her."
"I rocked her." He corrects me.
"Well whatever. I still say I'm to young to know how to care for a small infant child.
She barely when fit in the small baby seat we bought for her.
I started hearing Akkia cry again behind me and unbuckled her seatbelt.
I picked her up and rocked her. She calmed down and fell asleep after 30 minutes. I sighed and closed my eyes.
" I know. Hard right?" Nathan says getting out of the car. It was then that I knew we were back at his home.
As I was gathering my things for Akkia, I could hear footsteps approach.
I turned and came face to face with... Trevor.
