The moment I walked into the drama room I was accosted. Well not really, but Lance really did grab me forcefully and drag me into the corner. My sister Abby stood waiting for us. Her face was clouded, worried. That set me on edge. Abby was usually a bubbly, smiley person. Anything that could get her down was serious.

'What's up? Why the long face?' I questioned.

Abby spoke one word and my whole body tensed. 'Kaylee.' Kaylee was a sophomore. She was beautiful with her long golden hair and gray eyes. From the second she walked into my sophomore theater class I was smitten. 'What happened?'

Abby looked mildly surprised by the fury in my voice. 'Well her mom... was in an accident. She died. When Kay found out she ran, and now no one can find her.'

My eyes widened. Then I turned and bolted out the door. Lance made a shocked noise at my speedy departure but I ignored him. I ran into the dimly lit auditorium and slowed. She was here. This was where she always came to hide from the world, and I can understand why. The auditorium, with its cool air, dim lights, and no way of telling time made it a perfect place to escape to when the world was getting on a persons nerves. Something about the complete silence was comforting. I walked slowly to the left balcony, Kaylee's favorite spot.

I found her there, curled up in a ball and shivering. I knelt down next to her and reached out. When my hand touched her shoulder she fliched. I shrank away as she looked up. Her silvery eyes were compleatly dead. There was no emotion in them whatsoever. I swallowed, seeing her like this was almost scary.

At that moment Lance came up behind me. 'Hey why did you- oh cool you found her. Her twin brother is here and he-' A boy who looked just like Kaylee pushed past him.

'Kaylee are you okay? You can't run off like that!' he admonished. She didn't seem to hear his voice, or even know he was there. 'Kay? Are you listening?'

Her head whipped around at his use of her nickname. 'Don't call me that.' she snarled in a low voice. I take back what I said earlier about seeing her almost catatonic scary. This was defiantly more scary. She jumped to her feet. 'How dare you call me that like you know me? You know nothing more than my name! Don't talk to me! I HATE you!' She pushed past a startled Lance and an equally startled... whateverhisnameis.  I paused only long enough to glare in Whatshisnames direction before following.
