All the adults left the table and me and Jasper were left alone sitting across the table from each other. Jasper looked up and me and smirked.
"So wanna go chill in my room?" Jasper asked me.
"Sure," I said. We both stood up and walked up stairs. He led me to his room, which was the room directly next to mine. He opened the door and I saw his room. The walls were black and covered in all types of posters, there were black curtains covering the windows and fairy lights strung everywhere. His bedding was red and black. I was looking at his posters and saw a lot that I liked, there was like 5 Bring me the Horizon posters, which is my favorite band of all time, a Pierce the Veil poster, a few Black Veil Brides posters, a falling in reverse one, and many more I don't have time to name.
"Like my taste in music I see..." Jasper said.
"I know all of these bands," I stated in awe. Jasper jumped onto his bed and sat against the wall and smirked. He patted the spot next to him.
"Come sit with me," Jasper said.
"Okay," I said and climbed onto the bed, sitting next to him. He pulled his phone out of his jeans and turned some music on. Youth and Whisky by Black Veil Brides came on.
"Yes," I said. "I love this song." I started to very quietly sing the lyrics. "So what's your story?" Jasper then asked me.
"Um let's see.... When I was a baby my parents abused me, this went on till I was 8 and the neighbors found out. That's how I ended up in an adoption center for almost half my life so far. I've never been a genuinely happy person. Being I'm always depressed and always got made fun of. Being called a ugly piece of shit who should kill their self has fucked up my life. So there that's me." I told him, looking down at my hands.
"Can I see your arms?" Jasper asked.
"You won't like what you find." I responded.
"I don't care," he said moving so he was sitting in front of me. I put my arms out in front of me, wrists facing upward. He grabbed my wrist and pushed up my sleeve. He looked at all the cuts and scars. He ran his fingers up and down them, studying them. Tears started to form in my eyes and I looked at him. He then looked at my face and sighed.
"Don't cry," he said as he wiped away the tears before they could fall. He then started to take all the bracelets off his arms. He then showed me his arms. They were covered in cuts and scars just like mine, some fresh, some old. I grabbed his wrist and ran my thumb up and down the scars.
"Did it hurt?" I asked looking at him in the eyes. His eyes were a beautiful shade of black which made my dull green/blue eyes feel lame.
"The first few times, yeah. But once you do it so much, it doesn't hurt as much." He stated. "What about you? Did yours hurt?"
"Up until the last few, now my whole body just goes numb," I told him.
"I like the numbness, it makes you forget about what's really happening," Jasper whispered.
"It calms me down," I told Jasper.
"Storm?" Jasper asked.
"Yes?" I said.
"Do you feel like you can trust me? I mean we just met but we're also both fucked up and could use someone to help each other." Jasper asked me.
"As long as you never give me a reason not to trust you, then yes, I do feel like I can trust you," I stated.
"And I, you." Jasper said. "Do you wanna watch a movie?"
"Sure," I said.
"Is Harry Potter alright with you?" Jasper asked me.
"Hell yeah it's one of my favorites," I said.
"Mine too," Jasper said with a smile. He got up and walked to a book shelf that was full of books, movies, and CD's . He put in Harry Potter and pressed play on the tv. He crawled onto the bed and sat next to me again.
As we slowly got more into the movie I got more and more tired. I then layed my head against Jasper's shoulder and drifted off into sleep.
