The first performance of the year for me. I'm super excited. The theme of the show is Broadway. Which of course makes everything way better. I stuff everything in my bag for my performance tonight before I get there late for tech rehearsal. Then I just hear my mom yell from downstairs.

"Amy you're going to be late if you don't leave now!"

"Okay I'm leaving now mom!" I was doing my brown hair into a bun so it doesn't bother me while I'm dancing. I grabbed my bag and my keys to my Wrangler Jeep and went down the stairs.

"You are coming to my show tonight right mom?" She's my number one fan and well it's only me and her in the house. My dad left us when I was little and my mom only had me. She supports me in whatever I do and I do the same to her.

"Sorry hun. I can't tonight. I have a night shift tonight." I turned around and saw how sad my mom looked and sounded. This is the first show she isn't going to. And honestly I was sad too.

Trying to smile I went to hug my mom. "Hey it's okay mom I understand. I'll do great and you know it. I'll text you when I get to school okay." I kissed her cheek and waved goodbye. "Love you mom." I opened the door and she just yelled 'love you' back and I closed the front door.

I opened the door for my jeep and started the car. Crap I'm going to be late. And drove as fast as I can to school.

I got to school barely on time. I just got out my car and tan towards the dressing rooms in the theater. And of course I get yelled at by my best friend Fiona.

"And why are you late! This is our first performance of our senior year and you're late! Explain to me why."

"I overslept." I murmur. She hates it when I over sleep. But who doesn't love sleep. She doesn't. Fiona is a morning person always up and early getting things done in the morning and I well I'm asleep and wake up well late.

"You always oversleep. Either way you came just on time for us to rehearse Chicago, Wicked, and of course Lion King ." She smiled wide and I just nodded and smiled back at her.

I love these musicals. They have good choreography and well we have good singers too. Including myself. I was really nervous for tonight because supposedly we sold out our tickets. And well that never actually happened before. Which made me more nervous. As I was finishing my make up like every other girl was doing Fiona of course comes and yells at us with some news. Some got their eye liner messed up or mascara. But Fiona had some important news according to her.

"Oh gosh guess who's coming tonight!" Fiona yelled.

"Well I don't know. The tickets are sold out. Who cares. I sure don't because this show is going to kick ass." Everyone agreed with me by nodding their heads.

I was applying my red lipstick and almost smeared it all over my cheeks when Fiona announced who's coming.

"The football team. Apparently Jack encourage them to buy tickets because it shows support for us and well we always go to their games so its equal. We support them and there supporting us."

I stand up shocked. This can't be happening. Jocks don't come to performances of any kind. They say there too "cool" for this. This is way to important for us who are performing tonight. Everyone seemed shocked because like I said jocks don't come to our performances ever.

"They must be playing a joke or something. Jack is one those guys that loves playing jokes on people like us because we're not "cool". I swear if he plays a joke on us or something I would kill him." I sat back down to finish my lipstick.
