-----------Hyejin POV-------------

I woke up due to the brightness from the outside through the window.

When did I get home? When did I change?

I looked around and saw Taehyun, sleeping on a chair by my desk. My heart pounded.

Did he bring me home? Did he change my clothes for me?

"Hyejinnie? You're awake?" He yawned and stretched. I stared at him in disbelief.

"Yes, I brought you home. In the pouring rain. And no, I didn't change your clothes. Minho's sister did." I quickly relaxed.

"You were also mumbling something from your dream."

"Heh, I wonder what." I rubbed the nape of my neck.

"Nothing much but something like, 'Oppa...'." He answered. I awkwardly got up from bed and headed for the kitchen.

"Thanks for taking care of me. Uh, you want something to drink?"

"No, it's fine. You can reheat the congee and eat it."

"Oh, uh, thanks."

"I better get going now. See you at school." He put on his shoes and left.

Well, that was awkward. Heh, that doesn't mean anything. Right? Hopefully.

I change into my uniform for school and called Jungmi.

"Are you coming to school today?"

"No, I'm sorry. I have to take care of the baby while my aunt and uncle is out. Probably for a week."

"A week? But...but Hani and Yuri are out this week, too." I whined.

"I know, I know. You will be fine. Just stick with Jinwoo and Seungyoon oppa. Or maybe Taehyun oppa." She teased.

"I'll go with Jinwoo since we have the same classes today." We hung up. I grabbed my keys, phone, and bag and left. I locked the door from the outside and took the elevator down the building to the outside world in the morning.

I arrived at school and went to class. Jinwoo entered as well.

"Morning, Hyejinnie." He smiled sweetly.

"Morning, oppa."

"What happened to Jungmi?"

"She won't be here for school this week." He nodded. My phone vibrated. I pulled it out my bag and looked at the message.

Jongin: I have something to tell you after school. Okay? Please be here.

It sounded urgent so I replied.

Me: Arasseo, is everything alright?

Jongin: A little, but not really. I got to go. Bye. See you after school.

Me: Bye.

As I head for lunch, I began to worry. Did something happen to Jongin? Why does he sound so urgent?

"Hyejin-ah, are you okay? You seem worried after the message you got." Jinwoo asked as we sat down at the table.

"I don't know, but Jongin sent me a message. It sounded like he's in trouble or something."

"I'm sure, he's fine. Maybe a little upset. Are you going to see him today?"

"We meet up every other day, so yea."

"Why would you?" Taehyun butted in as he sat down.

"Why not? It's none of your business anyway." I snapped back.

How could he be so cold? Jongin could be trouble and he is like 'He doesn't need help'. If Jongin didn't, he wouldn't have texted.

"Wow, a nice way thank someone for saving your life."

"Don't give me an attitude. Jongin may be in trouble. How can you be so cold? Oh, wait, you are." I argued. The table became quiet after. Minho and Seunghoon didn't even say a thing. Seungyoon tried act like it was fine.

"Arasseo, arasseo. Taehyun leave her alone." Jinwoo comforted me. Taehyun opened his mouth to say something but, sighed in disbelief instead.

The classes passed faster than I imagined. I quickly packed my stuff, threw my books into the locker and left the school grounds. I saw Jongin up ahead, so I ran towards him.

"Jongin!" He turned around and smiled when he saw me.

"Hyejin!" He hugged me and didn't let me go until a while later.

"What's with the urgent message this morning?"

"Well, I have something to say to you. But I don't know how."

"It's okay. Just think about it."

"Well, uh, I like you." He blurted before he became beet red.

"Oh, yea. I like you, too. You're my best friend." I smiled at him.

"No, I mean...more than a friend." He placed his hands on my shoulder and stared into my eyes with sincerity.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, no pleading.

"I....I-"

"She can't." An arm pulled me back. I turned to see Taehyun.

"What are you-"

"She can't be your girlfriend. She has one already." My eyes widened at him in disbelief before I looked back at Jongin.

"Oh, well, I 'll see you around, Hyejin. B-Bye."

"Aniya, Jongin. Aniya." I screamed after him. I sighed as he disappeared from my sight. My blood began to boil. I turned an faced Taehyun.

"You! It's all your fault. I could have kindly rejected him and still be his friend, but NO! You had to come in and mess it up. Now, I'm not even his friend anymore. You jerk! Stay away from me!" I slapped him across the face and ran home.

I dialed Jongin's number, he didn't pick up. I called again. He shut his phone.

Stupid, asshole. That Nam Taehyun. It's all his fault.

The next day after school, I went to Jongin's house. His mom answered the door.

"Oh, Hyejinnie. You here to find Jongin. Jongin, come down. Hyejin is here."

"I don't feel good today. Tell her when I'm better I'll go find her." He yelled from his room.

"Well, you heard him. I'm sorry, Hyejin. See you around."

I sighed as I went home. It's so lonely.
