CHAPTER SIX
I spun around ready to kick somebody’s ass when I saw who was holding me. His silky, red hair flowed smoothly over his bright, green eyes.
“I... uh… I… uh... I’m so sorry. You looked upset... I’m terribly sorry.”
“It’s no issue… I was just thinking about how all of these songs my brother wrote about things we have done…. My favourite is It’s All In The Cards.. he wrote that when he had to take me in when our parents died to comfort me…”
“I’m so sorry.”
“Why? It’s not your fault some jackass murdered them while they slept.”
“I… I…”
“It’s not your fault… I just said that.”
“I know I just feel like… I don’t know…”
“What’s your name guilty boy?”
“Joel, yours?”
“Lustylia, but everyone calls me Lusty.”
“Well you certainly are that, Lusty,” He said with a wink.
With that, Garrett walked off the stage and over to where I was standing with Joel.
“Get away from her now.” Garrett said in a low voice as soon as he got up to us.
Hmmm… I wonder what has him so fired up…
“Aww come on Garrett, we were just having a little talk. Besides, what do you care? Last I heard you were still single… how would you manage to pick this one up?”
“I didn’t ‘pick this one up’ Joel. She’s my little sister, and if I ever hear of you laying so much as a hand on her I will rip you apart with my bare hands. I will not let you hurt her like you already hurt Amy.”
With that, Joel held his hands up in surrender and backed away.
“Are you ok Lusty? Did he hurt you? Did he try anything? Oh my God.. I’m going to kill him!”
So this must be the Joel that was abusing Garrett’s friend Amy…
“Don’t worry, big bro, he didn’t touch me.”
“Good”
With that the whole band, Tonic and Ferrara came to give me the biggest group hug ever. When the group hug was over, the boys went to the dressing room and Tonic, Ferr and I went to see if we could find Amy anywhere in the crowd.
As we were catching up with Amy, the next band For All Those Sleeping came on and many people, including my boyfriend Aedon, were running over to the stage.
