Chapter 5

Hey guys sorry for this extremely late update. I've been really busy with school, among other things, but I'm here now so yeah. Anywhore this will chapter is just a small filler while I try to find away to progress this story the way I wanted to when I began.

Jason's pov  Age 6

I ran as fast as my little feet could carry me as I ran towards the kitchen with Emily right beside me. The Luna, who was also my mom, just made her famous chocolate chip cookies, which could strike down Emily's father, they were that good.

"Wait up guys. You're to fast." Maddy's voice came from behind us. Looking over my shoulder, I could see she was still by the stairs.

Instantly Emily stopped and waited for her, smiling at her like I wasn't there. So I stopped and waved my hand in front of her face. She turned to look at me with her famous pout. "Stop pouting Emily." A gruff voice said, scaring us. Emily's face slightly paled before she turned around jumping into her father's arms.

"Daddy! When did you get back?" Emily's voiced sound forced.

 I was about to ask but Madison seemed to finally caught up, latching on to, "Why thank you mister future Alpha for waiting for me, future Luna." I frowned, but didn't say anything as Emily looked at Madison with confusion.

"How do you know you guys are mates?" She asked, a little jealous for an unknown reason.

Madison's pov Age 10

Jason and Emily jumped on each other while they were in wolf form, while I sat on the porch with a glass of lemonade. "This isn't fair," I stated, "How come you guys can shift but I can't?"

"Because they have Alpha blood and warrior blood in them. You know this Maddy. They have to start training earlier than most do." The Luna's voice came from behind me.

"I get why Jason can shift, but why Emily?"

The Luna smiled, "Because she the next in line to lead the warriors after her father steps down. That and she's special, but come now let get some cookies."

"Wait, what do you mean she's-"

"I heard cookies were mentioned." Emily plopped down besides me, wearing a shirt that was to big for her.

"Where'd you get that shirt?" Jason asked, sitting down next to her.

"The author."

"What?" Me and Jason said at the same time.

My head spun to Jason, him looking at me, "Jinx."

"Double jinx."

"Triple jinx."

"Black out." Both our heads spun to Emily who wore a smirk and walked away.

Emily's pov Age 14 (Warning for abuse..do NOT read if it triggers)

It was valentines day and of course I stayed home. Ever since Jason and Madison started going out it was like I wasn't even there. I was fine with it but I wanted my best friends. I sighed and shook my head. I grabbed my phone to check the time, a yawn leaving my mouth. 10:19 the clock read.

There was a knock on my door and I froze in fear, a hand instantly shooting toward my ribs that had been broken the night before.

He walked in, swaying slightly, with a bottle of scotch in his hand. He looked at me with utter hate and disgust. Walking forward, his gruff and slurred voice came, "Emily, guess what time it is? Time to beat the ever living shit out of you." He laughed like it was the funniest thing he said.

I closed my eyes, wanting to wake up from this hellish nightmare. A fist came and slammed into my right cheek. Tears stung my eyes, but I refused to cry. If I cried his beatings would only be worse.

His hand ran through my hair before gripping it hard and throwing me off my bed. A kick was landed to my stomach, forcing air out of my lungs. The kicks kept coming as I tried to keep my tears at bay. He mocked me, "You worthless piece of shit. No one will ever love you. Just wait. Madison and Jason already left you. And where is your mother. You'll be better off dead."

Father looked at the bottle then me, "Get up now." I scrambled up to my knees, keeping my head low. The sudden force of glass breaking on my head knocked my unconscious, the last thing I saw was him unbuckling his belt.

Sorry it went from a happy chapter to a depressing one. Anyway leave a comment below if you have any suggestion on what should happen next.

Also I'm going to try extra hard to update My Alpha on Wednesday.
