Deal

Chapter 2:

It's roughly 7:00am, and I can't sleep. I first woke up to my mom leaving to her first day back to work, and her slamming the door on the way out. It's been about a week since we have moved and school should be starting in a month and a half. I just decide to stare at my ceiling until I feel ready to get my day going. I finally decide to get up after 20 minutes of zoning out. I groggily get out of bed and fall into my bathroom. I jump from seeing myself in the mirror. I have huge bags under my eyes which a little makeup can fix, my morning hair is in every direction, and I looked like a hobo. I start my getting dressed and putting on some deodorant and perfume. I wear my old volleyball warmup jersey, with some jean shorts and black and blue elite socks. I wet my hair and brush it out, then just let it dry into its natural waves. As its drying I put on some mascara and concealer to cover up my bad acne.

I really need to tan. My hair is finally dry so I decide to go downstairs and make some pancakes for breakfast. I grab my phone and play me music loudly. The song Hide Away comes on. I love it. I start swaying to the music and grab all my ingredients. Flour, sugar, baking powder, backing soda, chocolate chips, egg, milk, and butter.

While my pancakes are cooking I get a knock on my door. I quickly and silently walk to my door and peek through the whole. I open the door to see a pair of two chocolate brown eyes meet my hazel eyes, and a huge smile go from ear to ear. "Hey Rylee!" Calum says excitedly. " Hey Calum haha, c'mon in I'm just making pancakes." I say opening the door for him to come in. I walk over to the grill and flip the pancakes so they won't burn. Calum walks in a few seconds later and takes a seat across from me. " so my friend Luke can't hangout today so I was wondering if you wanted to come to the field with me and shoot some balls?" Calum says and grabs a few chocolate chips. " wow you have friends!" I say sarcastically and he giggles. His giggle is so cute it makes you smile. " I'm not much of a soccer player. I play volleyball." I say pointing to my jersey. " we'll that's fine, I can show you a few things. It's just for fun." He says with a bit of hope in his voice."

I make it look like I'm thinking really hard about it which makes him stare at me with puppy dog eyes. I laugh. I can't stay serious with this guy. " ok fine, ill make you a deal," I say point my spatula at him. " you help me eat these pancakes and ill hangout with you for the day?" I take my pancakes off the grill and put them onto a large plate. Calum jumps in his seat happily and dances. I laugh and grab another plate for him and put 2 pancakes on it. I sit down beside him and he looks over to me. " Deal." He says and shakes my hand. We both smile and dig into the pancakes.

Hey I'm sorry I take so long to update. I have a lot of schools and sports going on so I don't get a lot of time to update. I also lose interest at times but I will try to update sooner and faster. <3
