Ella appeared in her bedroom and started panting. Her thoughts were fogged with anger. She began to throw things and created a mess in her room. She sat on her bed and let out a deep breath.

"Hey, Ell-... I sure hope you're cleaning up after." Marcel said, noticing the disorderly bedroom when he walked in. Ella waved her hand and the objects of her room started placing themselves where they originally were.

"Did you need anything?" Ella said with a small smile.

"Yeah, someone's waiting for you downstairs." Marcel gestured out her door.

"Who is it?" She replied while getting up.

"Go check for yourself," Marcel smiled.

Ella walked down the stairs with a confused look on her face. At the bottom of the staircase was a tall boy with dark hair and lightly tan skin holding a bouquet of white carnations. His back was faced towards Ella so she couldn't tell who it was for sure, but she did have an assumption.

"Jake?" Ella said softly. He turned around with a huge grin. The two engulfed in a warm embrace.

"I got you carnations since they're the only flower you would keep." He handed her the bouquet and she daintily sniffed it.

"What are you doing here? You live in London." She asked.

"We can't see each other in Hogwarts anymore and I knew that you would so desperately miss me," Jake said dramatically.

"Ha-ha." Ella said, not thinking it was funny.

"Well, I don't know exactly how to put it. I just felt it. I knew something wasn't right and it took me a while to figure out what it was. It was when a picture of the two of us dropped on the floor when it clicked."

"But how did you find me?" She asked, still confused.

"Please don't get mad at me, but I used the legilimency spell," Jake said slowly.

"So, you know what happened?" Ella said softly.

"Yeah." He sighed. He wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on her head. "Want to talk about it?"

"No, I would rather just enjoy this moment." She replied in his chest because he was much taller than her.

They moved to the living room and Jake continued holding Ella in his arms on the sofa. Ella fell asleep as Jake was rubbing his thumb back and forth on her arm. He didn't see, but Kol walked in and saw Ella curled up next to a boy. Hurt and jealousy welled in his eyes. He wanted to be the one she would lay next to. He walked away, taking the flowers he was going to give to her with him.

Kol stormed off and threw the flowers in the trash bin. He ringed Davina up.

"Hello?" Davina said through the phone.

"Where are you?" His anger was going over the line.

"In my room. What is it, Kol?" She responded.

"Come outside." He demanded.

Kol was walking back and forth, waiting for Davina to come outside. She came out, warily. When he saw her, he stopped for a second, ran up to her and kissed her. She immediately pushed him off.

"Kol, what the hell?!" Davina yelled.

"What?" He responded.

"You chose Ella. What are you doing?" She said.

"And she chose someone else." He said emotionless.

"What? What are you talking about." Davina responded, confused.

"That lad she's with right now." Kol pointed to the entrance.

"Jake? That's her best friend from Hogwarts."

"I don't give a shit where he's from. I just know that he's in there with my girl in his arms." He shouted.

"And two minutes ago you were just trying to make out with me." She said. He sat on the ground frustrated with his head on his knees.

"I ju- I just don't know what to do. This is the second time I let her down. I want to be able to show her that she can count on me. And now, she doesn't even want to look at me." He felt vulnerable. Davina sat next to him and patted him on his back.

She sighed. "She's just hurt. She'll need time."

"What do I do?" Kol looked at her, desperately.

"Apologize. Give up the fight. It'll show her that you care more about her than your pride." Davina advised.

"She doesn't even want to talk to me."

"Then you'll just have to make her talk." She shrugged. "Oh, by the way, if you ever try to kiss me again, I'll punch you in the face." Davina threatened.

"Noted." The laughed it off.

The next day, Ella was walking around town, looking for nothing in particular unless something caught her eye. She kept going back from looking at her phone to watching where she was walking until one time she looked up and saw Kol walking towards her, pushing people out of the way. She turned the other way and began walking and Kol started picking up his pace to catch her.

"Ariella!" He yelled through the crowd, hoping to grab her attention.

"Please, Ariella." He said again, out of breath when he finally caught up to " her and grabbed her wrist.

"What, Kol? What could you possibly want from me?" Ella replied bitterly.

"I want to tell you how deeply sorry I am. I want things to go back to how it was, how we were before-"

"Before I found out it was all a lie?" She cut him off.

"Before I screwed everything up and lost you. Where did things go wrong?" He grabbed her hands and looked down into her eyes to show him what he was saying was genuine.

"You really don't know, do you?" She furrowed her eyebrows.

"Not a clue." Kol shook his head.

"It all started when we were going out in London, I was still in Hogwarts and you were doing whatever you wanted to do. During this part of my life, I was genuinely happy. I felt like I was really living and you were my first love. The only other person I trusted was Jake. And as time progressed, something changed. You were growing distant. Then, you just left. I deserved an explanation, but I never got it. And I see you again, here. I moved on, but every time we talked, in the back of my mind I still couldn't trust you. And I was so hopeful that something was still there between us." She said disappointedly.

"Hey." He lifted her chin up. "There is still something between us."

She moved her head. "But I can't trust you."

"What can I do to get your trust back?" He said desperately.

"I can't just hand over my trust to you. You have to earn it. You have to show me you're still worth it." And with that, she was gone.
