This is one of my very first cookies I've ever made. I've won competitions and all that sort of crazy stuff. I've tried so many chocolate chip cookies in my life I've come to conclude this is the best one if you don't mess up ;) Hope you enjoy and if you have any questions or comments please do so below.
NORMAL WAY: HEALTHY WAY HIGH ALTITUDE 3-6 thousand ft
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour 2 1/4 whole wheat flour 2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp water w/ flour
1 tsp salt 1 tsp salt 2/3 cup sugar
2 sticks butter (softened) 2 sticks margarine (heart) 2/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar OPT: If anything cut by 1/4 cup 1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup packed brown sugar OPt: If anything cut by 1/4 cup 2 sticks butter
1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs 2 large eggs 2 large eggs
2 cups chocolate chips. 1 cup chocolate chips 2 cups chocolate chips
(OPT: 1 cup chopped nuts) (OPT: 1 cup nuts) (OPT: Chopped nuts)
Preheat oven to 375 HIGH ALTITUDE: Cook about 8-10 min until brown on edges
1: Combine flour, baking soda, salt into small bowl
2: Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy
3: Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4: Gradually beat in flour mixture.
5: Stir in chocolate chips
BAKE: 9-11 minutes or until golden brown at the edges. Let cool.
****I use a small ice cream scoop to shape the dough into balls. That makes about 24 cookies*****
