Lane's POV
It's been great for the last two months but Justin is getting weaker without his mate but hopefully hunting will bring his hopes up.
We were all gathering to go run until my son Mason ran up " papa can I go to" I shook my head and motioned him to go back inside. We were still waiting for Justin. He finally arrived and we took off. I was sniffing for food when a rogue jumped at me but before he hit me Justin tackled the rogue. While they were fighting more came from the bushes. We were all fighting and bleeding but that's when Justin got hurt badly. My pack and I killed the rest but I couldn't hear Justin's heart beat. I picked him up and ran with him in my arms all the way to the pack. The doctor put him on the bed and started giving him meds. " Lane I don't think he's going to make it ". When I heard those words I howled with sadness . Trey and my family ran in but when they looked at Justin . Emily broke down in tears and hugged Matt. My dad insisted on me to call Luke. I dialed his number " hello" " hello this is Alpha Lane is this Luke Waters " "yes lane it is ..is every thing alright". I knew I couldn't tell him but I had too. " no Justin has been injured and the doc said he is probably not gonna make it" I heard sobbing on the other line " lane I am coming back so keep me updated I will be there tomorrow morning" And that was the end of that conversation.
