Today was the day and I felt my heart constrict a little bit.
Today was Memphis' first day of kindergarten.
My little boy was growing up quickly and I hated it.
"Mommy is it time to go yet?" Memphis asked as I was making breakfast for both him and his sister, Kyna.
Kynas three and is attached to Memphis.
They're best friends and I'm enjoying it while it lasts because I know in a few years they'll hate each other.
"No baby" I responded while plating pancakes and putting them down in front of both of them.
"Why?" He asked while plucking a strawberry off his plate.
Memphis was super excited to be going to school.
"Because school doesn't start for another two hours" Memphis huffed before beginning to eat his breakfast.
After I had Kyna, I moved out of Sasha's house since we still lived together after Elena moved out.
Now me and the kids live in a two bedroom condo.
Kyna was a surprise from a one night stand just like Memphis was. After Kyna I decided enough was enough and I stopped going to clubs and stopped sleeping around. I still work for Conner and it's not awkward or anything.
"Mommy am I going with Memphis?" Kyna asked and I gave her a sad smile.
"No sweetheart but Memphis will come back and tell you all about his day" her face fell and she looked like she was about to cry.
Instead of crying though she went and sat closer to Memphis and I moved her plate in front of her again.
After breakfast Memphis went up to his room with me following close behind him.
"What do you wanna wear buddy?" He shrugged as Kyna walked in and went and sat on her bed since they shared a room.
"That" Memphis said pointing at a nice outfit. I bought my kids very nice clothing.

I got Memphis dressed first and then dressed Kyna in a pair of purple leggings and a long purple shirt that was a shade darker then her leggings. I also put little ankle socks on her.
I picked her up and carried her out to the living room where Memphis was putting on his slip on shoes.
"You need any help?" I asked and he shook his head before standing up and grabbing his iron man back pack.
