Shawn the "Chef"

You slumped, putting your elbow on the table and resting  your head on it. It had been a long day at work trying to deal with some mean customers who treated you terrible even though you were trying to just do your job and get through the day. Shawn picked up on your attitude and kept his distance, only appearing a short while ago.

"You know what I would die for right now?" You asked, glancing at Shawn who was already looking your way. "A chocolate chip muffin." 

Shawn laughed. "Alrighty then. One batch of chocolate chip muffins coming up."

"I don't think so. You can barely work the oven so what makes you think you can make muffins?"

He smirked running a hand through his thick hair. "I can just follow YouTube. That's how I learned to play guitar, muffins should be the same."

"Okay, but I don't exactly trust you to do that!" You giggled.

"I can tell it's been a hard day. Just go take a long, hot, relaxing shower and by then you will have a muffin to enjoy."

He made it look so easy. "That does sound good. But you better not burn down my house, Mendes!"

He nodded, setting up his phone on the counter opened to a video and grabbed some ingredients from the pantry.

You stepped out of the shower and pulled on your favorite t-shirt and yoga shorts ready to enjoy your muffin. The minute you walked into the kitchen, it was chaos. Batter was flung everywhere and chocolate chips led up a trail to Shawn whose face was smeared with flour. The mixer was still running and the oven timer was beeping louder at the second.

Shawn caught sight of you and his eyes widened as he thought of what your reaction would be.

Instead of blowing up, you doubled over in laughter, running over to Shawn whose arms were open and waiting. "I'm sorry!" 

"No babe, don't be. This is better than a muffin." You giggled, kissing Shawn after dusting some flour off his lips.
