Hello! This is Mickey the fish speaking. I'm gonna tell you a little about myself. <3

I am what the humans call a "Mickey-Mouse Platy" because of the shape on my tail. I am a brilliant orange color, if I do say so myself. I have pretty awesome eyes too. They are SILVER! Isn't that cool?

Here's a picture of me that my human took;

Aren't I adorable? Don't mind my friend, Lemon, in the background

Aren't I adorable? Don't mind my friend, Lemon, in the background. She's a little bit of a show-off.

Anyway, my story begins when I was chosen by my human to go home with her. I was put in some sort of mini, squishy, portable fish tank along with a snail. At first the snail and I were quite awkward and shy around each other, but eventually we started talking to calm our nerves.

"Hi... I'm... I'm Mickey." I introduced myself nervously.

"I'm Speckles." The snail replied.

"We finally have a home! Isn't that exciting?" I  questioned excitedly.

"Yeah. I hope it's a nice home." Speckles answered.

We continued talking until we reached our new home, and were put into the tank, portable tank and all. I don't know why humans do that. Maybe to make us feel safe or something. No fish really knows, we just theorize.

We could see other fish through our squishy tank, but we couldn't talk to them. So I just swam around chatting with Speckles until the human came back and let us out.

The first fish I met was Angel. She was the leader of the tetra school. Well. Wannabe leader I should say. Everybody but her knew that Alpha was the leader. The tetras were all fairly nice. I'll put a list of the tetra pack in their hierarchy order, and a note from myself for each fish.

Alpha: Alpha is a pretty chill dude. Angel constantly challenges him, but he just ignores her.

Angel: Angel is by far the most aggressive fish. All that's ever on her mind is hierarchy.

Lemon: Lemon is pretty neutral. She isn't overly nice or aggressive. She's quite boring really.

Spirit: Spirit is the prettiest fish. Everyone loves him. He's white, like angel, but he's got a blue stripe down his back.

Omega: Omega sadly gets picked on. Mostly by Angel though. The poor guy has rips in his fins.

Glassy: Glassy is mostly see-through! How awesome is that!? He's really shy though.

Cherry: Cherry is the shyest fish in the tank. She hides 90% of the time. Unless there's food.

So those are my friends. They're pretty fun, although my best friend is and always will be Speckles. <3

Speckles and I did everything together. Usually I liked swimming near the bottom where he was crawling along. He was always a busy-body. You'd think a snail would be slow, but in Speckles' case, you're wrong.

I would pick the algae off of his shell and give it to him to eat. It was the one place he couldn't get to, haha! But being a good friend, I always helped him get the algae he couldn't reach.

My other favorite thing to do was swim through the bubbles that came from the top of my home. I don't know how or where they came from, but they were so much fun! I feel bad that my best friend couldn't play in them too.

I loved eating food, but not as much as my friends do. My human would drop some food in for us and the tetras would leap out of the water for it! Desperate much? Usually I would grab the food that sunk down near me instead. I never tried going to the top to eat much. If I did, I'd have to be really hungry.

I loved my human so much. If she put her hand on the side of the tank, I would come and swim near it. My human really loved me. She always took a ton of pictures of me. Which I didn't mind, seeing as I AM super photogenic. I think she liked my tail.

Anyway, that's my life. I basically just followed Speckles around all day, and had a ton of fun. My home was the best tank a fishy like me could ask for.
