Mickey was my life-loving fish. She really did love Speckles. They really did do everything together. If you thought that fish had no personality then you're wrong my friend. Mickey loved having her picture taken, and did always swim by my hand when I put it near the glass.
Sadly though, everything must end.
Speckles got himself stuck in the filter bit, sucking his face and body into the tube, killing him. I was extremely sad to see this horrible accident occur, for I found him when it was too late to save him. But Mickey was more hurt by this than I was.
She got really depressed. Instead of swimming around carelessly, she hid. Everything scared her. After a week or so she didn't eat very much, so she lost weight.
Between the grief and weight loss, she got sick. She had basically given up without her snail friend.
She died on 2/27/16 at around 9:00pm.
If you think that fish are careless creatures incapable of love, then you are wrong.
