My heart started to race again; I started to tense up. I felt a mix of emotions. I looked up at Adam Silver and I somehow knew I would be drafted. The crowd went silent. I couldn't hear anything, I felt numb. I couldn't make out anything around me. And then he spoke, "With the 3rd pick in the 2016 NBA draft, the Los Angeles Lakers select Jamie Sullivan from the University of Nevada Reno. I suddenly felt a big rush of joy and happiness. I was drafted. I shot right up like a weed. I felt like the most important person in the world. I couldn't stop smiling. All the lights and cameras didn't bother me. My family was ecstatic. I looked back at them with the biggest smile. I walked up feeling empowered. The crowd seemed to go extra loud for me. It was the best experience of my life. I walked to the stage faster then I had ever walked in my life. I trotted up the stairs to the stage and then I just stopped. I admired the crowd. I then made my way over to where Adam Silver welcomed me with opened arms. He was holding my jersey. I couldn't stop glaring at it. This dream became a reality. I couldn't believe it. I finally took my jersey, waved to the crowd and skipped down the stairs with tears in my eyes.
