As Cleo was fixing her hair Roman came in , her older brother. Cleo was 15 and he was 18 this was his last year at Lincoln Heights so next year Cleo would be all alone with no protection she was thinking about being home-schooled but she knew her mother wouldn't allow it. Her mother was still on drugs and her father was still locked up for attempted murder and a domestic violence charge. After that night everything was a blur she didn't know what to do so she turned to the worst things such as sex,drugs,alcohol, and self-harm. " who was that " Roman asked raising his eyebrow , Cleo shot him a look as if why does he care " It was Tina " . Roman didn't say anything the rest of the ride after the look he gave Cleo .
Tina and Roman had been messing around for awhile but Roman ended up ending it because it didn't want her around all the violence he was into .
At school when Cleo got there Tina, Lani, and Theia all ran up to her " HEYY BITCHH ! " they all said in unison. She laughed " hey y'all " . In English class Jamal kept looking at Cleo with that same look he'd always give her sooner than later he was passing her a note that read " meet me at my car next period " Cleo smiled and nodded in agreement to meeting him . Tina knew they were talking about something so she tried to listen but not listen.
Everyone was copying notes when suddenly Roman bust in demanding for Tina. She got up looking around confused she didn't know what he wanted . " what the hell is your problem ?" he asked her furiously. She looked at him and raised an eyebrow " what the hell you mean ? didn't you tell me we won't fucking around anymore " . Roman sighed " yeah but that doesn't mean I want you out of my life forever " . Tina looked around trying not to smile " well you should've said that dickhead". Roman smiled to Tina he had the prettiest smile him and Cleo even with her braces she was gorgeous . " so you meeting me next period ? " said Roman . Tina thought for a minute then sighed " yeah I guess " . Roman smiled and kissed her forehead.
Before Tina resumed class the bell had already rung and Cleo was no where to be found , but Tina figured she was with Jamal.
Cleo and Jamal were in the car in the schools parking lot "so wassup " Cleo asked. " where you wanna go ?" he asked . Cleo rolled her eyes " I don't know you asked me to meet you " she said snapping. Jamal turned and looked at her with a cold look . Cleo looked down at her hands " I'm so-sorry its just ---" he cut her off " do you need some dick baby ?" . She sighed " yes but that's not all that's wrong with me and i'm hungry" Jamal started the car " how bout this , we go roll a blunt you tell me how you feeling we fuck and then I take you to get some food "? Cleo smiled " that's a deal " .
They went to Jamals house his mom was at work so it was just them in the house. They were passing the blunt to each other " so whats going on shorty?" he asked her exhaling . She shrugged her shoulders as she took the blunt from him " I just don't feel good enough Jamal , not for you , Calen , or anybody. " she said passing the blunt back to him. " girl I don't know , Roman got a call then he started spazzing " she said shaking " I hope he's okay " . " yeah I hope they are all okay " said theia .

" was that gun shots " Theia asked panicking .
" yes it was bruh my fucking baby man he in there " Cleo said shouting
" I'm getting out the car bruh I can't " Tina said . " NO NO stay Tina " Cleo asked her .
They all three ran out and got in the car " come on come on we gotta go " said Roman .
In the car it was dead silence no one said a word . The music was playing but that was it until Roman got a call from Sahara .
