Where Are We?

Smackle POV

Maya, Vanessa, the boys, and I walked into Topanga's as usual, but today was different. For some reason, I could feel in my magic a familiar presence. I looked around, but there wasn't anyone I recognized. I looked around the café only to realize that the only other person someone was wearing a dark-colored cloak. I could tell that it was a female because of the way she sat. Her legs were crossed, and she looked up at us, but the cloak hid her face, so I couldn't see who it was. All I know is that once I looked at her, I felt drawn to her, but I brushed off the feeling and went to sit down with my friends, but I knew she was watching us the whole time.

I can't believe it's been a few years since she left. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I try not to think about that day, but I can't stop it from constantly being on my mind. I wish that she was here with us. We don't even know what happened to her. Is she even still alive after all these years?

We all began our usual ritual of sharing stories about her. We began to cry, but soon later, something didn't feel right. I looked down, and I saw a cloud of purple smoke beginning to surround me, Maya, and Vanessa. I tried to use my magic to stop it, but my powers weren't working. It was as if something or someone was making it, so I couldn't.

My thoughts went back to the girl who I saw wearing the cape. I turned to face her, and I saw the smoke coming from one of her hands.

S: What are you doing to us?

All of a sudden, Maya disappeared. Lucas, Farkle, Josh, and Zay tried to stop the girl, but they failed. She had turned off Farkle's magic as she did my own. She knew and was able to dodge all of Josh's hunting methods and was able to hold him back. She was faster than Zay's vampire speed and could read his thoughts and comprehend his next moves. I think she could read his mind, too. When it came to Lucas, he put up the biggest fight. He turned into his wolf self, but she turned into one too. She had the tails and ears, she had the fangs of a vampire, she had the knowledge and strength of a hunter, and she had the most potent magic out of any other witch I had ever seen or read about. Those weren't her only powers, though. I could tell that she had only a few of her many abilities showing. That's when all the pieces started to fall into place, what she was. She wasn't any ordinary monster.

SHE'S AN ALL POWERFUL!!!

But she can't be!!! There haven't been any all-powerfuls for light years, so who was this girl? My thoughts were cut short by Lucas charging at her. She turned to him, and she must have used a dog whistle spell because he turned back to his usual self, placed his hands to his ears, and let out an agonizing cry. I turned to see the figure with tears streaming down her face as she saw how much she was hurting him.

I was astonished as I watched her battle all four of the boys as she still kept Maya, Vanessa, and me under her spell. All of a sudden, everything went dark.

I opened my eyes to find myself in a dark room. I was probably in a dream state, bestowed by the lady in the cloak. As I looked around me to find a way out, I noticed a beam of light appears, revealing a large red button with the world's PRESS ME on it. I was hesitant at first, but I gave in and pushed the button, and what happened next left me speechless.

When I pressed the button, the room was filled with screens of memories of her. Each one contained a memory, but the one from the day she left caught my eye, probably because it was on a giant screen. I watched it play on and started to have a flashback to that day.

FLASHBACK

The gang and I have been waiting for a few minutes now for our friend to show up. It's so unlike her to be late like this. Suddenly, Maya ran out the door, and we followed closely behind her.

When we finally caught up to her, we found her crying in our old childhood treehouse, crying her eyes out while hugging a piece of paper. We asked her what was wrong, and she pointed to a table with all our names on an envelope. I rushed over and picked mine up, tore it open, and read what the letter had said.

Dear Smackle,

I'm so sorry I had to leave like this. I couldn't take the pain anymore. Missy and the other's constant bullying and name-calling finally got to me.

Please don't try to find me because I used my magic so that you and Farkle won't be able to see me. None of you will be able to use your abilities to find me. Only one thing will be able to find me, but it's something you don't possess.

I hope I can return soon and tell you why I left, but for now, I must go.

FLASHBACK OVER

After the flashback ended, the room went dark again. All of a sudden, I was able to open my eyes, and I saw the lady in the cloak.....

Vanessa POV

WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!?

One moment, we're all sharing our stories about Riley and how much we love her, and next thing I know, we're all staring at this lady in a cloak who's staring at us.

As we looked at her I was trying to figure out her scent. I used my vampire powers to figure out the scent her blood was giving off, but it was unusual. I could smell traces of wolf, vampire, magic, and several others, but how is that even possible? How could this girl have more than one type of monsters blood in her system? I never even thought that it was possible.

I was ripped out of my thought when I saw a cloud of purple smoke coming from one of her hands and begin to wrap around Maya, Smackle, and I. First Maya disappeared, then Smackle.

Right before I disappeared myself I looked around to see the lady fighting off all four of the boys. She must be really powerful because I've never seen a creature who can fight off four of the most powerful male monster that I've ever seen. What kind of creature is she that she was strong enough to do all this without any sign of weakness? That's when I disappeared and everything went black.

I woke up and found myself in a pitch black room with only one beam of light shining down on a button that said PRESS ME. I pressed the button and I saw a flash of my old memories of Riley and all of our friendship moments, but the one that was biggest was the one when she left.

FLASHBACK

Why is Maya running to the treehouse?

I climb up and May's crying while holding a piece of paper and points to a table that has one for all of us. I reach over and pick my letter up and read it.

Dear Vanessa,

I'm sorry that I had to leave all of you like this. I never wanted for any of this to happen the way it did, but you can't always get what you wish for. Please don't look for me because you won't be able too.

By the time you guys read this I'll be too far gone for you to find me. I'm covering up my tracks with my powers and blocking your powers from finding me until I want to be found.

I hope that one day I will be able to return but I don't see that being soon so please know that I hope to see you soon and I love all of you.

FLASHBACK OVER

Once the memory was done playing I blacked out again. When I woke up I saw the girl from earlier. I saw the lady in the cloak.
