Shepard's Estates was larger than I thought, it's was enormous; probably twice the size of the average mall. Iris and I got some soup and sandwiches from the kitchen and she really wanted to show me the study hall. I was reluctant at first, but I gave in with a long sigh. Study hall has to be at least three stories tall, filled with books of all different writings in language never know to the outside world from what Iris told me. The windows were almost as tall as the room and thin enough so the average person could walk right though it. We headed to the middle of the room where some of Iris's friends were at, they began to wave their hands to gesture her over there. She introduce me to three strange, but welcoming people. I kept my head down as Iris has some small talk with them. I stood a few feet away from them for being cautious. All I could think was, should I trust them? I hardly know Iris and I'm only following her because I don't have anything else better to do and I'm probably going to be here for awhile might as well get to know this place.

Iris gestured me to come over and slowly walked over trying to keep eye contact, but failed horribly.

Tali, the tallest out of three of the bunch. Her skin was a blend of dark tan and her hair popped out the most with blazing ginger color. Tali's figure has some mass even though she was thin due to her height. From what Iris explained that she was brought the Estate by her grandmother who was worried about her ability to lift things with her mind.  Tali's grandmother knew about the Estate because that ability runs through Tali's family, but the ability died out long before her grandmother was born. Tali was the first in centuries to have the ability. Tali was only seven when it first started. Her grandmother thought it was just the wind or their family members knocking things over or playing tricks. The incidents just got stranger and more worrisome as Tali got older.

Hunter, he was the muscles of the group; there's no doubt about it with him flexing his muscles, just another show off. His hair looked that is a light brown with some..sliver highlights? Maybe their actually gray or a extreme bleach highlight. More likely he must had his hair done by a stylist if it looks like that. Where we're in the middle of nowhere, but whatever. Apparently, Hunter comes from a long line of dragons slayers. Dragons really do exist, but not in the way everyone thinks. From what Hunter says there no like a giant lizard or dinosaur with wings they're actually people who can change into that state, but rarely do. Hunter's father sent him here to learn more about sword fighting and how to be a slayer. From how he standing Hunter more looks like a wanna be knight.

Sora, he must have been the shortest from the looks of them standing in a half circle in front of me. Maybe Sora probably an inch taller than Iris; if they were standing in height order I would know. He lived in an orphanage until he was twelve. The old lady who was in charge to take care of them was Ms. Jackson; she didn't exactly think children were miracles of joy, so she would beat them until they were nearly black and blue. Sora was one of her favorite, which was a blessing compared to the others he hardly ever talk or get beaten by Jackson . One day she was beating a tiny girl who just arrived at the orphanage. The little girl could have been Jackson's favorite of spared souls, but the little girl tripped and started to cry from hurting her knees. Jackson raised hand to the girl as Sora tried pulling Jackson away from her by the waist of her dress. Jackson turned to beat him for a change as punishment for getting in the away. Unforeseen, a flash of light hit Jackson fell over a small stool in the way she hit the floor causing her to go into a coma. Cid heard of the strange accident in the newspaper and took Sora before any scientists would come and treat him like some rat in an experiment. Sora has learn that he can cast magic, but he still learning how to use them or how to even actually cast them.

"Telekinesis isn't possible, this is just bull! Dragons are just fairy tale talk! And sorcery doesn't exist!" As I raise my voice at them with their insane stories of non-exist and frustration. The only one who had a some what normal background was Sora. What did I do to be put into a mad house? Did that blow to my head put me into a coma and I'm just dreaming all of this? Have I gone lost my screws to hold my brain in place?
