A tear ran down the girl's flushed cheek and lands in a puddle midst of hard concrete floor. She's been trapped here. For so long. In this lone, cramped cell with no one to call friend. And it hurt her heart so dearly. Sometimes she wished that she could just die.
This girl went by the name Hiyori. She can almost always be found wearing the same long pink scarf, same coat, same smile on her face. But that was all gone now. Her captors.....they took away her dignity. They took her clothes, the smile on her face, and replaced them with clothes fit for a prisoner rather than an innocent young woman. The only thing they left her was her scarf, which she gripped now in white knuckles as she bent over and wept.
'How can they leave me behind?' Hiyori thinks furiously as she lets out a particularly loud sob. 'How could they just....forget me? I haven't forgotten them! Why?!' She wails and throws her head up to the ceiling.
"Why Yato?!!" she screams, tears flowing freely down her face. "Why did you just leave me behind?! Why? Yato!!!" She pounds her fists into the ground and curls up in a ball, sobbing relentlessly, murmuring Yato's name. Not far away, a slim figure in a black jersey along with a blonde fourteen year old boy stand gazing at the prison Hiyori was being held captive. The slim man mumbles, "sekki," and the boy next to him turns into a long sword into his right hand. Yato grips the sword tightly. "Hold on tight Hiyori.... I'm coming for you." The sun begins to set on the dungeon, casting a blood red haze on the sky as Yato begins his trek to save the girl he loves.A/N: and that is the end of the first chapter. Hope you liked it!
