One month later

It was the weekend. I had more time to spend with Patrick. I am now a month clean. So is Patrick. I feel like a lot of weight has been lifted of my shoulders.
Patrick and I have been in a relationship for over a month and I still haven't met his parents. Today is the day I meet them. I'm so nervous.
I put on a plain white shirt and black skinny jeans. I brush my hair again and I don't put any eyeliner on. Good impression. I look over at the picture of Patrick and I on my night stand.
Do it for him.
I run downstairs when I hear a knock in the door. It was Patrick.
"Hey, babe!" He said, pulling me into a hug. "Hey!" He pulled away. "My parents are going to love you," I take a deep breath. "Don't worry, Petey." I smile. "Okay, Trick. I won't get nervous."
We get in his car. "You're not wearing what you usually wear." Patrick said. "I want a good impression." I say.
"Haha. Okay." After fifteen minuets we finally arrive at Patrick's house. I see his parents' car. I start to panic.
What if they don't like me? What if they think I'm too emo?
Patrick opened the door and grabbed my hand. He had a giant smile on his face. "Dad couldn't make it today, he had to stay at work." He said. He opened the front door.
"Patrick? Is that you?" I hear a woman say. "Yes, ma'am." Patrick replied politely. We walked into the kitchen where she was.
"Aw! You must be Pete! My name is Patricia." She said. "H-hello." I stutter.
"Aw! You're so cute. I see what Patrick sees in you." she said. I blush. "Dinner will be finished in about half an hour. Y'all go upstairs until then. Shoo!" She said, smiling big.
We walk into Patrick's room. Memories of when we first made out flowed in my head. He turned to me. "I told you there was nothing to worry about." I laugh. "Yeah, you were right." I take a seat at the edge of his bed.
"Babe?" He said. "Hm." I hum. "Never mind." He said quickly. I hate when people do that, but I'm gonna let it slide. He wrapped his arms around my neck and sat in my lap, facing me. "You're so beautiful." He says. I feel heat rise to my cheeks. "Thank you, Trick, but you're so much prettier than me." He giggled.
He leaned in and kissed me. Our lips moved together, like they always do. He pushed me down on the bed. He started kissing down my neck. When he found my sweet spot, I let out a small moan. He left a love bite there. I close my eyes as he continued to kiss down my neck, to my jawline, then back to my lips.
He slid his hands up my shirt, sending chills up my body. He pulled away just so he could trow my shirt off. He quickly found my lips again.
I started to take his shirt off until I hear "Patrick! Pete! Dinner is ready!" Patricia called from downstairs. I put my shirt back on and walk downstairs.
My face was red from blushing. I was so close. "Well, Patrick, will you help me set the table?" His mother asked. "Yes, ma'am." He said. He is so innocent around people. I helped them set the table and get everything ready for dinner.
We sat down together. "So, Pete, tell me about yourself." I bit my lip.
Fuck, questions.
"Well, I play bass." I say awkwardly. "Oh, that's amazing! Patrick can play guitar and trumpet and piano." She said. I laugh. "You never told me that, Patrick." I said. "You never asked." He replied. He didn't touch his food. It was steak.
I look at Patrick. 'You okay?' I mouth. He nodded. "May I be excused?" He asked. "Sure, honey." His mother said. He got up and hurried upstairs. "Do you think he's okay?" I ask. "Yeah, I'm sure he's fine." After five minuets, he still hasn't came back.
"May I go check on him?" I ask. She nodded. I rush upstairs to Patrick's room. "Hey, are you alright?" The door was locked. "Wait one second." He said. He opened the door, looking like he was a dinner but red puffy eyes. "Patrick, what's wrong?" I ask.
"I didn't feel myself." He replied. It hurt me seeing him like this. "Patrick, it's okay." I say, pulling him into a hug, stoking his hair. "Want to go you your house?" He asked. I nodded. We walk downstairs. "Hello, Mrs. Stump, it was a wonderful dinner." She smiled. "Thank you." She replied. "Mom, may I stay with Pete tonight?" He asked sheepishly. "Sure." He smiled. We said our goodbyes and left.
Once we were almost to my house Patrick spoke up. "Haha, Pete...I left my clothes." I chuckle. "You can wear some of mine if you want." I pulled into my driveway. Mother and father are gone for two weeks. Thank god.
We walk inside. "Pete, my mother loves you." He said. "Haha, are you sure? She could have poisoned my food." He giggled. "Trust me, she loves you." We walk to my room and I turn my TV on. "Harry Potter?" I ask. "God, Pete, you're such a nerd!" He said jokingly. I put The Goblet Of Fire in the DVD player and pushed play. I got on my bed and Patrick snuggled next to me, resting his head on my chest.
Thirty minuets into the movie, I hear small snores. I smile at Patrick. I stroke his hair. I watch the rest of the movie.
He him him moan. "Pete." He whispered. I look down. He asleep. "Pete, d-dont." I look down at him again. "Stop, P-Pete." He said. "D-ont leave m-me." He's having a nightmare. I kiss his forehead.
"I won't leave you, Trick." I say. "Stop!" He whisper yelled. I was so confused. What is he dreaming about? "P-put them down!" He said clearly. I tilt my head, trying to put this all together. Overdose. I wake him up. "Patrick, Patrick, it's okay." I say, shaking him slightly. His eyes open. He threw his arms around my neck. "You're okay!" He said. "What do you mean?"
"Nothing." He said. He kissed me. "Its over now."
