Adrian's POV

I heard a carriage pull up in front of the house and voices. Lucas and him wife Mary went out earlier to the train station. Said they had someone to pick up. I think her name was Catherine? I heard them walk up the path where they met Adam and Joan.
The door opens and they continue further into the house still talking. The girls voice is smooth and feminine sounding. It has this effect on me where I get the urge to go down and meet her. I want to see her, to smell her, to know if her voice is this lovely up close. I swiftly make my way to the stairs and descend them.
They have their back to me so they can't see me just yet. Slowly they turn around to face me. It's only natural for prey to feel the presence of the predator. Humans are no different I thought to myself. They all looked at me safely except the new lady, she looked at me in curiosity.
"Hello there Adrian. This is Catherine." Adam gestured toward Catherine. "Catherine this is Adrian." He said gesturing to me this time. "How do you do? I'm Catherine Bloodgood nice to meet you." She said extending her hand to me for a handshake. I grabbed her hand turning it over to place a kiss on her knuckles. "The pleasure is mine." I said. God she smelled nice. I looked at her closely this time. She really was a beautiful girl.
Long Carmel hair pulled up spilled from her hair ties in ringlets. Big round hazel eyes framed with thick long lashes. Her skin was olive toned which helped make her plump pink lips stand out. I can't really say much about her body type though. She was wearing masculine clothes. Other than she was average height and seemed to have long legs.
I walked with them to the loundge to have tea. I sat opposite to Lucas, Mary, Adam and Joan in a arm chair whilst they sat on a couch. Catherine sat to the side looking everyone over from her chair. The tea tray was brought in and sat down in the middle of the coffee table. Lunch came in next to the tea tray by a young lady. I made my tea first and picked up a sandwich so as not to look suspicious. Humans get jumpy and cautious easily so might as well eat.
They sat starring at one another with their tea in hand. Catherine looked calm, unlike the others akward auras, sipping her tea eating her food. My God she looked so graceful with every move and gesture she made. Singing my eyes she looked my way giving a small smile. Beautiful.
