Alexia's POV

I looked at Kennedy and frowned, he looked pissed. What the hell happened out there?

"Hey Kennedy? Who was outside?"

"Nobody." He mumbled leaning on the door.

"It doesn't seem like nobody." I said, raising an eyebrow.

"It wasn't anybody important, Don't worry." He said, shrugging his shoulders.

I sighed sitting back in the hospital bed, deciding not to take the conversation further. He obviously wasn't going to tell me anything.

"So what did you want to tell me?" I asked, now remembering.

"It's nothing Alexia, I have to go." He said, grabbing his jacket and heading out the door before I could say goodbye.

What got him so pissed off?

~Kennedy's POV.~

I sighed sitting in my car, I didn't start it yet, I just sat there trying to catch my breath.

I was so close, so damn close to telling her. Then he ruined the moment. Now i'm just pissed off, and I swear I didn't mean to shut Alexia out I just didn't want to tell her he was here to see her.

I ran a hand through me hair, silenly debating as to whether or not to go back into the hospital and just tell her.

But of course I couldn't bring myself to go back inside, so I just turned on my car. Driving towards Dustin's house. Nobody knew she was awake yet so I might as well start telling everybody.

I grabbed my phone, calling him on the phone.

"Hola?"

"Dustin! Hey it's Kennedy."

"I know, I have caller I.D dude."

"I have good news."

"What is it?"

"Alexia's awake."

"Are you serious? That's awesome!"

"Yeah...not so awesome part is that Kayden keeps trying to see her."

"Well now that she's awake maybe she should talk with him. Who knows maybe this opened his eyes and they could get back together? You know how much she likes him."

"They don't need to get back together...he's an asshole."

I could hear him sigh on the other end of the phone. "Kennedy, I know you like her but you can't keep her from dating somebody."

"I'm not."

"Then what do you call what you're doing now?"

"Protecting her."

He started laughing. "Ken, dude, you really need to stop telling yourself that and look at what you're doing."

I sighed not answering him, instead putting my full attention on the road.

"I'm coming over." I said finally.

"Alright, see you." He said, hanging up and I put my phone down.

I'm not ruining her life am I? Keeping her away from Kayden. Should I back off? Maybe I'll ask Dustin when I get there.
