Chapter Two

I.. I.. What the hell just happened here?

"But he.. And I.. She.." I stuttered out loud. I called Aria and told her what Dominic said to me, and she dropped her phone. Kendall ended up having to pick it up for her. I then told Kendall what happened and she turned speechless. Is it really that bad?

I heard Mom fighting with Nick as she closed the door to my house.

"Get up off your butt, Ms. Lazy." Nick said and stuck his tongue out at me. Whatever. I let it slide and climbed into the passenger seat.

"Mommy, how come Ali gets to sit in the front seat?" Michelle whined. Mom adjusted the mirror so she could she could see Michelle.

"Because she's older, honey. When you're 13, you can too."

"YAY!" Michelle screamed.

"Keep your goddamn voice down, Michelle. Don't blow out my ear drums."
As soon Nick said that, Michelle burst out crying.

"Nicholas Isaac Taylor. Don't use that tone of voice with Michelle and don't you dare swear in front of me, Michelle or Ali ever again." Mom said sternly.

"Whatever." Nick said under his breath.

"What'd you just say to me, Nicholas?"

"Nothing, Mom." Nick said and hung his head.

"That's what I thought," said Mom and pulled up in front of Nick's and Michelle's school.

"Have a good day at school! Nick, hold Michelle's hand when you cross the street, she'll get hit by a car if you don't."
Mom drove up the street to my middle school. Lincoln Middle School, home of the Lions. She kissed my forehead and let me out of the car. I walked past the eighth grade guys who called me hot everyday and went to find my friends. Kendall came sprinting toward me, with her straightened light brown hair flowing in the wind and her blue-green eyes wide with happiness.

"ALI!" She yelled and hugged me.

"Allison, where's my hug?" Aria said, twirling her fishtail braid with her fingers and her violet eyes looking at me warmly and sweetly.

"Coming right up!" I said, sounding like a total idiot.
I hugged Aria, then proceeded with hugging Judith, Caitlin and Maddy.

"Hey Ali, shouldn't you be meeting your future husband in the back of the school?" Aria said, winking.
"Yeah Ali, whatcha gonna do back there? Have some hardcore sex?" said Kendall.

"Oh. My. God, Kendall. Shut the hell up." I said and punched her in the shoulder.

"No, as a matter of fact. I will not be having any sex in the near future. If you and Aria would like to walk to the back of the building with me, and supervise us, you may. I certainly don't give a shit if you do. But Dom might."

“IN THE NEAR FUTURE?!” Aria exclamied.

“Yes, in the near future.” I said, winking at her.
As Aria, Kendall and I walked to the back of the school, next to the basketball court, the eighth graders stared us down and wolf whistled like there was no tomorrow.

"Ugh. They can go fuck themselves." I said under my breath.

"God, I know. We're not sex toys." Aria said as Kendall burst out laughing.
We rounded the back of the school and saw Dominic with his Notre Dame hat and his headphones in.

"Dom! Look who we found for you!" Kendall yelled and ran toward him, while Aria and I kept walking.
"Aria, she really needs to shut up.." I said and buried my face in my hands.

"Ali, you're fine. Just go talk to your future husband." She said as we neared Dom.

"Hey Ali." Dom said.

"Hi Dom."

"We'll meet you guys inside." Kendall said as she ran around the corner with Aria and left me stranded with Dom.
