Today is my 16th birthday and the Crown the Empire concert. Woo! I'm so excited. I walk to my closet and put on a black long sleeved shirt that has lace down the arms and black skinny jeans. As I walk out of my room to find my shoes, my dad stops me at the door and holds out a bag.
"Happy birthday, Death." I smile and open the bag to find my own Crown the Empire jacket, I've been stealing Kaylib's the whole time.
"I love you, Dad." I mumble into his neck as I hug him.
"I love you, too, sweetie." He says quietly.
‡‡TIME SKIP:THE CONCERT‡‡
"I can't wait to see Crown the Empire." I say as we're driving to the concert.
"I know right? I can't wait to see DAVE'S PERFECT FACE!" Járaì replies creepily.
I nod with a weird face.
When we arrive, I see blessthefall's tour bus. I start freaking out. They're here, too? Dad, I freaking love you! We head to where Crown the Empire's stage is at and wait. We chat with other fans as more arrive until we hear Andy's voice over the speakers.
"How's Dallas doing tonight?!" He yells. Everyone screams and whistles.
He laughs then continues, "Good to hear it. I'm guessing y'all are here to hear us play?" We scream again.
"Alright, well the first song we are going to play is Johnny Ringo."
The last song they play is Fallout.
"-tonight, we'll sail to the edge of the world and watch the stars fall down. You put your head in my arms as we wonder is there anything? Is there anything?" And at that last lyric, he drops his gaze to me and keeps staring. It feels like time was frozen. His daze was broken when Dave smacked him in the arm. He wraps up the show and we start to leave. Járaì and I kept talking about how great the show was then we felt hands on our arms.
