Kayla's POV

Things were different now that I didn't have any friends or family. There was no person to talk, no little kids to play with, or anything else, but sadness. I spent most of my days in the secret tunnel passage near the end of the city. I've went everywhere I could go, but eventually, I got tired, so I went right back to my tunnel. I couldn't think if I found someone else on this Earth, but for right now, it's just me, myself, and I.

The day before, I went to the grocery store to stack up on food. Once I got my food, I heard rustling behind the other aisle. I was just too lazy to look around, so I left it at that. Once I got into my car, I took a different route than usual. I went cruising down streets looking at all the places I loved. The restaurants were places I loved to go around. Not to eat, but because I used to grow up in a chef environment.

My parents were both chefs, and they owned a restaurant. Once I pulled up to Le' Soros, I started to cry. So many memories happened in this place and now they're all gone. It was like a sudden flash of light and then total darkness. I had cried enough, so I went back to my tunnel. I read books, looked at the clouds, and played with a stick. I started to notice a heavy cloud of smoke. Was someone actually in this world other than me or was I just imagining things?
