I stood with my back against one of the white hall walls of my school. I was pressed flush against one that was by the corner where if a person was walking they could turn to take a different direction down another hall. I held my breath as I tried to stay as quite as I could, waiting for the perfect opportunity to walk out from my hiding spot.I was particularly glad that no one was currently walking down the hall I was in, they would of been confused and weirded out. I mean I know if I saw someone hiding behind a wall, looking super nervous and keeping as still as possible, I'd find if strange too.
I peeked my head out to see what was on the other side of the wall, eyes searching for the whole reason I was hiding here anyway. I found him instantly.
My eyes landed on a certain boy who had blonde hair that was spiked in the front, kinda in a way that resembled a bunch of bananas, and was pulled into a short ponytail in the back. He had bright blue eyes, like the sea, that were currently directed at their locker that was in front of them.
I sighed to myself, smiling slightly at seeing Len, the boy who I had been hiding from in the first place. I had been waiting for the chance to talk to him alone.
Len was very popular here at school and was usually around other friends all the time. Not that that was a bad thing or anything, Len was just so sweet and kind of course he was popular. I was just really shy and didn't think I'd be able to talk to him if I was surrounded by his surplus of friends.... Oh god I sounded like a lovesick school girl didn't I?
"Jeez Oliver keep it together! Its just Len alright? Its not like he's the guy who you've had a crush on forever or anything... Oh wait, he is. Wow I'm so screwed," I thought to myself. Originally I was trying to comfort myself mentally but halfway through I realised how bad this could actually turn out.
Alright I've got to stop thinking so negatively! I'll just go out right now and tell him! Yeah I'm going to do it! Now's the perfect chance to talk to him, no one's around after al- crap! Well... never mind that then.
Just as I was about to come out from my hiding place a girl with long teal coloured hair that was pulled up into pigtails walked up to Len and began speaking with him.
He greeted her with a smile, which didn't make me jealous at all, before they began to talk. I couldn't hear what they said but all that I could see was the two of them smiling and the girl beginning to do what looked like giggling. They continued on with their conversation but because of how far away from them I was, I couldn't hear what it was about.
It made me kind of sad to think that Len was having fun talking to this girl. I was also a bit angry that she just had to show up when I was about to talk to him. I know that's really selfish of me to think but I couldn't help it.
Before I had a chance to do anything else I heard a voice from down the hall shout, "Hey you. Aren't you supposed to be in class?" As soon as I heard the voice I ran the opposite way as fast as I could.
Technically I didn't have a class to go to right now, for it was my lunch period. That was the reason why no one was really in the halls too, they were all in class already. I didn't want to explain that to the teacher though. I'd probably get in trouble anyway. If I did talk to them then Len would see me getting lectured by a teacher and that would be so embarrassing!
