I was let loose into the city to regain my bearings and get used to the noise once more. I was wandering by restaurants looking for a good meal only to bump into someone. Gosh, seems I need lessons on standing. The boy no old than I, possibly younger, held out a hand to help me to my feet which I gladly took. "Sorry 'bout that, I'm Bill. I'm from Philly so don't really know my way around."
"Iona, Queen Iona Laufey. I have no idea about this city, do not feel bad."
"Queen? Wish, that's a big title for such a small girl," he said grinning. I rolled my eyes and sighed, "Yes, Queen. Thor is my uncle."
"Oh cool! Do you want to join me for lunch and tell me more?"
"I would enjoy that greatly, thank you," I replied smiling. A good looking boy asked me 'out' as they say here.
I enjoyed much of my day with him and even gave him my mobile phone number. I went out with him the next day too, and the day after that. It became a regular occurrence, until one day he asked if I wanted to be what he called a girlfriend. I said yes, and when I got back to my home in the tower I gushed to Wanda who was Pietro's twin sister. She explained all about dating and such things.
My days were spent either training with the Avengers or with Bill out in the city or on the couch watching movies. We were not allowed alone in my room for some reason. He filled my days with laughter and the joys of discovering new things, then suddenly it was like we were strangers. I became cold toward me and stopped calling. One day he told me he didn't love me anymore and that I was too slow moving in our relationship. We had never kissed, only held each other close and grasped each others hands. Suddenly it was all over and he was gone from my life without a trace. He had broken my heart making a queen reduce to nothing but a hurting teenage girl. Nothing anyone did comforted me. Not Wanda making things float in the air, Tony flying past waving, Natasha and Bruce taking me out, or Vision taking control of all computers to play funny videos. Even Pepper took me shopping in an effort to cheer me up.
I was sitting alone while majority of the Avengers were on mission and a blue streak went by. Then it came back and stopped in front if me once more. Fair Pietro plopped do we next to me making me bounce little.
"Young queen why the moping? You are beautiful and could have any man you wish, literally, you're royalty. Smile for me, this rain is murder on my running," he spoke quickly. I smiled at him, once again using the opportunity to look him over.
"I do notice, you looking at me with those murky eyes of yours. I can take this shirt off in no time." With this my face was as red as my oversized hoodie. I covered my cheeks with my hands and laughed, "Wouldn't that make Thunder from down under wild. His sweet innocent niece with the fast boy. You're too old for me."
He leaned in to me slowly, "No one has to know anything. FRIDAY security off on this floor please." All the cameras drooped and went silent. "I am only seventeen silly girl, not much older than you. What do you say? May I be Queen Iona of Asgard's first kiss? Be the first non family man she's seen shirtless?" I nodded and bit my lower lip as he stood. He stripped his thin shirt from his toned body and I held back a gasp at his physique. He was, there's a word that isn't coming to me, hot! He was hot! I couldn't help the hand that reached out and ran down the curves of his fit torso. He smiled softly at me in such a heated moment. He cupped my puffy cheeks in his large hands and brought his face toward mine. It was agonizing, since when did he do things slow ever? His lips were an inch from mine when he stopped and asked my permission again. I nodded so fast my neck cracked a little. He inched closer and closer his lips so terribly close I could feel his breath on my face and finally-(Sorry not sorry for the cliffhanger, always wanted to do that)
