Don't judge a queen by her cover

I looked at myself in the mirror, my hair was longer and more red now. My eyes had faded to a pale murky green color. Freckles now covered my nose, cheeks, and appendages. I had lost so much weight being asleep for so long and the pounds kept shedding, my shirts now were baggy. I kept my curves; wide hips, round protruding rump, large bust, thick thighs. The only difference was where once was a pudgy tummy was now flat, so my shirts once snug around the middle now hung very loose. A loud banging on the door startled me out of my thoughts. I opened the door to find Pietro half asleep leaning on the door frame. I left the bathroom to get dressed. I decided on a tee sporting a Pink Floyd logo and a pair of grey jeans. Pietro met me in the hall now sporting his glasses, turns out they were as much to see as to blend in, and a backward cap that pushed his curls back. "Did you put anything in your locker yet?" I shrugged my bag on, "Not really, just the books Fury gave us." Pietro nodded, "We should get going."
I followed him out to the car and fiddled with the end of my shoe that was coming off. Suddenly Tony jumped into the driver's seat. I looked over at Pietro to see his reaction but he was looking down at his phone. "Uh Mister Stark, where's Miss Potts?" I asked leaning forward. He grinned half turning toward me, "Pep's sick today. I'm driving you to school." I flopped back in my seat with a sigh.
We arrived at school and the girl from the day before ran up to us. She was bouncing on her heels, "You know Tony Stark? Do you know other avengers? Oh my gosh, do you know Black Widow?" I took a step behind Pietro, "We do, yes." Naya smiled at me, "Sorry I get a little too excited about them. I recognize you two now! Quicksilver right? I don't think you're a member of the active team, Iona." I hid a little more, "I am not. I haven't passed the tests." Naya gave me a pitying look but dropped it when Jake came up. He shook Pietro's hand and looked around us a little, "Hey what happened to that girl you're always with? Irene? No, that's not right. Whatever, your girlfriend man, where is she?" I froze, girlfriend? Pietro just laughed, "Not my girlfriend, she is behind me." I stepped out a little, "Hello Jacob." The bell rang so we said our goodbyes and went inside.
I was sitting in my desk in homeroom behind Pietro. He was right, we weren't separated. I was doodling Pietro on the back of a piece of loose leaf when  I felt a tiny breeze. "Is that me? With the tiny hearts?" I squeaked and covered my paper with my arms, "No!" My face was so hot I wasn't sure I wasn't in actual flames. Pietro grinned at me like a wolf grins at its meal, "Let me see! My small queen I think you may just like me. Yes?" I curled into myself as his face got closer, "No..." Without realizing I had moved my arm, so Pietro seeing a perfect opportunity, snatched it. I jumped up, "Hey! Give it back! Pie this isn't funny, give it back!" I jumped to grab it out of his hand, but he just held it over his head. He looked at it for a moment before putting it on the desk and scooping me up. "Aw little queen you do like me!" he exclaimed hugging me close to his chest and swinging me about. "Pie put me down, people are staring. Pie quit it, you're making me dizzy!"  He finally dropped me but squished my face in his hand and peppered kisses all over my face and purposefully avoiding my lips. By the time he moved away, I was feverish and flustered. I slumped in my seat, this was going to be a long day...
