August POV
"I was running" I said in my Forest Gump voice.I love that movie, how could you not?
"Daddy!!!"
I'm not the only one who loves that movie. My daughter who is almost two also loves it.
Yes, I have a daughter. She is one of my joys as you all know I am very lonely. In all honesty she is the product of a one night stand, but she is my product so I'm stuck with her for life. Nothing that I mind though.
My beautiful daughter is Kennedy or Kenny for short. I have full custody of her. Her mom is not around but not cause she abandoned her, no, Chrissy loved Kenny. Unfortunately Chrissy died while giving birth to Kenny but she did get to hold her if even for a brief time.
"Where's Kenny?" I ask looking around for my daughter who decided to just play hide and go see at this random time.
I hear giggles behind the curtains and make my way over to the window.
After I have successfully rounded up my rambunctious child, we make our way to my office.
I usually bring Kenny here instead of leaving her with someone because I love beings around my princess.

Tucking Kenny in, I kiss her cheek and turn on her night life before leaving her room.I relive the events of today as I get ready for bed. This is just sad. I'm almost 28 and have a kid with no type of significant other. I'm not desperate but I am starting to think I am lonely.
It's not even that I can't look for a "suitable" partner. But I'm not just looking for me anymore. I need a mother figure for my daughter.
What I don't want is for me to find someone and for
Kenny to get attached just for "her" to end up leavingI put my arm over my eyes as I relax into my bed.
I don't know what I'll do but whatever it is my daughter is going to be good regardless.
