Phil's eyes widened. "I want to start again...I love you..." Those words repeated in his head over and over again. Dan still loved him? Did he still love Dan...? Of course he did, but things had changed. He had changed. When Dan left, Phil's nerdiness was buried deep down. He started working out, started dressing in darker colours, and had a new social group. His new friends didn't know he was bi and he wasn't sure that he wanted them to know. "Dan...I've changed since you left. Things are different now. What we had," Phil paused, preparing himself to lie to his best friend. "it's in the past. I think we should just be friends for now. I'm really sorry..." And with that, he left leaving Dan alone in the hall, his heart shattering into a million bits.
