I woke up at about ten. I showered, changed into black shorts, a light blue v-neck, gray beanie and white Nikes. I also re-bandaged the worst cuts. I went downstairs to find my mom sitting at the table.

"Why are you still home mom? Normally you'd be at work right now."

"I took a few days off so I could be home while all of this was going on. Plus today we need to go talk to Mr. Solis." I groaned in response.

I ate the pancakes she already made and we drove to school.

We walked straight in and into his office.

"What can I do for you two today?" He asked once he came in.

"I wanted to address an issue of bullying that has been going on for a few years." My mom said rather sternly.

"There is no bullying that goes on here. Well, not physical bullying." He replied.

"I think you'll find there is." I said.

"What?"

"Your son and his three friends, Cameron, Alex and Malike have been bullying me mentally and physically for the past four years, when I came out as gay. Every single day. That's the actual reason I was late that day you were filling in. Well actually I'm late everyday but since the teachers know what's going on they don't say anything."

"So I'm supposed to believe that my son bullies you? And the teachers know about it but do nothing." Mr. Solis questioned getting a bit angry.

"Yes. Ask him yourself. I'm sure after what we talked about and what happened in detention that one day he'll tell you the truth." I said sassily. I've been hanging around Makayla too much.

Mr. Solis went to the PA system and called for Zeke Solis to his office immediately. Zeke arrived a few minutes later.

"What do you need Dad?" He asked.

"Have a seat, son. We need to talk."

"Ok. But why are Kyle and Mrs. Hunters doing here?" Zeke wondered.

"That's what we need to talk about. Have you been bullying Mr. Hunters for the past four years?"

"Yes." He answered ashamedly.

"Did you know that he recently wound up in the hospital for what you did one day?"

"What? I haven't done anything since last Wednesday before detention. We had a really nice talk and it changed things." Zeke said sounding a little worried.

"Oh yeah. How's that plan coming along?" I asked.

"It's ok. I'm not very creative so that's kinda a problem."

"Oh. Sorry. I wish I could help but I don't know. It's gotta be from the heart."

"What are you to talking about?" Mr. Solis and my mom said at the same time.

"We're trying to think of a way for him to impress Makayla and apologize publicly." I said.

"Why would you want to help my son impress your girlfriend-"

"I'm gay. Makayla is practically my sister. Zeke likes her and wants to impress her, but currently she hates his guts for bullying me. One of the reasons he beat me was because he was jealous of how close we always were/are. He just used me being gay as an excuse." I intervened.

"Why would you still help him though? That's not an excuse!" My mom shouted angrily.

"I don't know. He seems pretty nice."
