These ghastly characters are long, thin, slimy snake like creatures, that bring terror to anyone that invades their land. They are usually found in the far desert, and
until my reflector boots wear out, i'm almost safe. Although, desert demons jump. They can jump right onto your grubby hand and before you know it they have slithered through your nostril and are twisting on your lungs calling for acquaintances to help them in their murder. Yes,they enter through your ears, nose , mouth and in some horrifying cases, your eyes. They find the nearest vein or organ and they twist it and you will suffocate whilst your heart is being tightened and about to burst, and your eyeballs are out of their sockets, jingling like bells ringing out blood. These bloodthirsty creatures are believed to be from hell, and it is definitely understandable why a human would think such a thing.Although, i do believe their attacks aren't usually unsystematic, they do it because they need meat to survive, and living in a desert as one of the smallest creatures isn't the best place to get food.
So,as i trudge through the day i was thinking about how the kingdom was the only place id ever been, was there a world out there with strange people and different traditions to us? Was there a land with magic? Stories that my grandmother would tell me gave me these thoughts, she talked a lot about other worlds and she always used to tell me "never be afraid of the unknown, you may like it ordinary, but a difference may make it extraordinary ". I never knew exactly what this meant but, she told me id realize soon enough, so ill wait for that day. You're probably wondering why no one left the land the minute the king departed, the reason for this, is that they believed that if you were to step out of the kingdom, you would burn. Some believed it far more than others, but they drew a ring around the land, so no one would step beyond the boundary. This is why i was so agitated about having to take that risk.
Many myths like these passed through the kingdom regularly, like the structures are made by tiny sand people, who will get extremely angry if you fault their hard work. All the kids loved this one, they would be easily occupied, just threading their fingers through sand. However i ,as a child, was not so easily occupied, i scarcely believed about the burning boundary, but if i were to speak up, i would surely be thrown out.Although, no matter what, the king wouldn't kill, he believed that everyone was put on the ziloc for a reason, and that we all deserve a purpose, this is why everyone adored the king.unlike our last ruler, he cared about every living thing, and respected other peoples property, even if it weren't a safe item to keep.I spent most of my childhood reading. I hated finger painting and singing like the other kids my age, i could read for hours and not get bored one bit, and my parents couldn't stop me, because they died many years ago, my mother died in giving birth to me, whereas my father had killed himself two days later, he knew he couldn't bear living without
mother.Luckily, the villagers took care of me well, they all knew my parents were good people, they tell me stories about how wonderful they were. They would tell me that my mother was called Abigail, my father lewis, and they travelled far to scavenge food for the villagers, and when they died, a man called Jeffery started growing plants, which kept the village satisfied,as well as Olivia and Jamie killing animals for meat, and gathering water for everyone. They were the only ones allowed to leave the boundary, because they were said to be pure, because they had been tested by the king, and passed.
