Chapter One

**Kellin's POV**

"Come on,Kellin, get up!She'll be here any second now!"Jesse shouted like a little kid.

His girlfriend was coming into town and he was excited for us to meet her.He had been yelling about it for days and I still didn't see what the big deal was, maybe because I was engaged to Katelynne. Anyway,Jesse had us all meet up at his place to meet her and we were all excited to find out what was so special about that girl.

"Okay, fine, but she gets here when she gets here,no need to freak out about it."

Jesse sighed as Gabe and Justin walked out from the back.

"Still excited,Jesse?"Gabe asked him,laughing.

The doorbell rang and Jesse flipped out.

"Heather's here!" He said, running to the door.

He swung open the door and behind it revealed a rather familiar looking brunette. She was petite and had shoulder length locks of curly hair. For no particular reason,I was sure that I knew that girl, from somewhere in my past.

"Guys,this is my girlfriend,Heather Coyne."Jesse said,giving her a kiss on the forehead.

My eyes widened.

"Heather?"

"Kellin!"Her soft voice said.

Justin looked at both of us and Jack was just in awe.

"You two know each other?"

"Um..yeah,Kellin and I went to high school together and..."She said starting to struggle on her words.

"We dated for 3 years..."I finished for her.

The room fell into and uncomfortable silence.

"Oh...well...let's start the party, shall we?!" Jesse said, picking her up and moving towards the kitchen.

I was kinda shocked that he didn't comment on our past status. I guess that he was so into her that it didn't matter.I didn't blame him, there was no way that you couldn't fall for a perfect girl like that. I quickly shunned those thoughts and walked over with the guys.

"It's great to meet you finally,Heather,Jesse talks about you constantly."Jack said.

She smiled, showing her perfect teeth."He only says good things,I hope?"

"Only good things can be said about you, babe."Jesse said, hugging her from behind.

The sight of that gave me a bit of nauseous feeling, but I guess the guys felt the same way about Katelynne and I. I was lost in my thoughts until Heather spoke up.

"Kellin, when do I get to meet this beautiful fiancé of yours?"

"Soon, she'll be so excited to meet you."

Heather flashed a sweet smile and my heart melted, yep, she was still the same.

~*~*Heather's POV~*~*

I smiled back at Kellin. It had been almost 5 years since I had last seen him. He was still perfect, but this time I wasn't there for him,I was there for his best friend. I had moved on and I was falling for someone that was fairly close to him. I was really nervous about seeing him again, I wasn't sure that he would remember me or if he even cared.

"Come on,babe. I'll give you a tour of the house and then we can go out to eat before you get settled,"Jesse said then planting another kiss on my forehead. He was so affectionate.

I smiled as I walked away from Kellin and the guys, even though, I had to leave Kellin's presence for a moment. I knew that I was in a new and loving relationship, but seeing Kellin, brought some things back. I shook the thoughts from my head as I heard Jesse drop my suitcase on the floor.

He wrapped his arms around me and started to attack my neck with kisses.

"Jess..no..we can't."

He pulled away and sighed,"Babe, how long have we been dating? Eight months. Maybe,it's time that we-"

"Jesse,no!"

He looked hurt,as if it had something to do with him and not the current state of my mind.

"Did I do something wrong?"

"No,it has nothing to do with you. I promise,I'll explain later. Please, just trust me." I looked into his eyes, pleadingly.

He nodded. "Come on,let's get some lunch."

I sighed in relief. There was some things that I wasn't ready to discuss with Jesse just yet and some things that he would never find out,no matter how long we've been dating.
