The echoes of dinner still lingered in the air as Cane and Bianca ascended the stairs to their room. The night had been full of uncomfortable revelations and awkward moments, leaving them both feeling the weight of it all.

Cane opened the bedroom door for Bianca. "Thank you," she said politely, a soft pink tint of embarrassment still coloring her cheeks from the events at dinner.

"I'm going to take a shower," Cane informed her, offering a brief smile. Bianca nodded, her own smile slightly strained.

As Cane disappeared into the bathroom, the soft sound of water soon filled the space. Bianca took the opportunity to carefully remove her dress, easing it over her shoulders and arms, ensuring the delicate fabric wouldn't snag or tear. She placed it gently back into the garment bag, smoothing out any wrinkles with a delicate touch. The dress was a piece of art, and she treated it as such. Slipping into a white robe, she relished the soft fabric against her skin, a small comfort amidst the lingering awkwardness. She felt an urgent need to wash off the evening's makeup and the tension that clung to her like a second skin.

As she waited for Cane to finish his shower, she felt a subtle pressure building inside her, her wolf instincts stirring restlessly. Her inner wolf, April, was insistent, a primal need whispering through her mind. "This is the moment, Bianca," April urged. "You know it's right. He's just beyond the door, and you both need this. It will bring you closer."

At the same time, Cane's wolf was equally vocal. His wolf's presence felt like a low, rumbling growl vibrating through the walls, calling out to him.

"Don't resist her," his wolf seemed to say. "She's waiting for you to take that step. You need each other, and completing the bond will solidify your connection."

When Cane finally stepped out of the bathroom, his skin glistened with water droplets that trailed down his defined chest and abs. He was shirtless, a pair of sweatpants hung low around his waist. Bianca felt her breath catch in her throat, her eyes drawn to the muscles flexing subtly beneath his skin. A warm flush crept up her neck and cheeks, her gaze lingering longer than she intended.

"I'm going to shower quickly," she said, her voice betraying a hint of breathlessness. "I want to get this makeup off."

She stepped into the bathroom, closing the door behind her with a soft click. The shower was warm, and she let the hot water cascade over her, washing away the stress of the evening. She took her time, using an oil cleanser to gently remove the layers of makeup from her face, feeling the weight of the day slip away with each pass. April, her wolf, was still restless, whispering in her ear, urging her towards Cane. "You want this, Bianca," April coaxed. "You want him."
