Chapter 12- 7.31pm

Soryu POV

Over the next 7 months Reina practically lived in my condo moving some of her stuff into my draws, but had been given a penthouse suite by Eisuke as she took over the security and overall managing of the auctions.

She was trusted by everyone, her no nonsense way of speaking meant she fit in well with our group.

With the Ice Dragons.

With my underlings.

With me.

Plus Daichi loved her. Utterly.

Tonight we had a dinner at the Viper leaders house, with several other mafia groups. Getting ready I change into my suit, waiting for my girl to come out.

She had recruited Violet to help her with the "cute but casual" theme of the evening. Coming out, she was dressed with a black and white that cut off her knee.

"Stunning..." I say, for the hundredth time since we had been going out together.

"Really? Are you sure?" she says, clearly unsure.

"Yes... you're beautiful Reina." I say and kiss her forehead.

"Thank you." she says and tucks a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"I love you." I say and she blushes this time and says it back. "Let's go sweetheart." I say as Inui comes with keys.

We all get into the car; Van, Inui, Samejima, Reina and I.

"This should be lovely." my angel says, squeezing my hand.

"Yeah, it 's all the calm leaders so it should be a very mellow evening."

As we arrive, our coats are been taken and glasses of champagne are given. We take our seats in a massive oak table and begin to mingle with guests.

As the table begins to fill everyone is at ease just as I thought, "Soryu! Please introduce us!" a few sub leaders who hadn't met Reina yet asks and I introduce her.

"Your girlfriend is simply ravishing, Mr Oh." another leader says, winking at my girl, but before I growl she takes my hands kisses it in front of everyone.

I smile at her, my girl knowing exactly what to do to keep me at bay. Dinner is served soon after, and everyone is relaxed laughter bubbling around the table.

Reina's natural humour had come back and made everyone close to wetting themselves. Desert had began and Reina ends up on my lap.

I fed her some on the chocolate from my fudge cake and she blushes, swatting my arm.

"Soryu!" she squeals in embarrassment and I laugh at her, my eyes in complete happiness.

"Well, aren't you two in love?" the Vipers leader comments and he smiles at us. "You remind me a lot of my ex-fiance Reina."

"Ex?" she says, "That's bad!"

"No no, she disappeared for 9 months, but after I finally found her.. she had passed away." he says, his eyes falling down.

"Well, at least we have our eye colour in common." my girl smiles happily at his amethyst eyes, "I'm sorry that happened to you, but you seem happy now?"

"I am." he says, holding the hand of his newly wed wife.

"Good." she says and then kisses my cheek.

"I see a long and happy life for you two, marriage?" he says, at peace almost... until the room become colder and an ominous wave hit me.

Then the gun shot went off.
