"Just because you can't find a female Mamoru!" Eisuke slurs, drunk from all the whiskey.
We were back at the hotel, celebrating our win with some serious drinking. I loved the way everyone was being so kind. My girl Reina was on my lap and both of us were chilled; the Ice Dragons and everyone having recieved their share.
"I don't need one!" he shouts back, the perfect picture of an angry drunk.
" Yes you do!" Ota laughs poking his tongue out.
"You ain't got one either kid!"
"I do!" he says in a laugh.
"Who!?" Violet and Reina ask at the same time.
"I'm so disappointed! You're supposed to be single with me!" Baba pouts.
"You two love the gossip, don't you?" he says and rolls his eyes. "Krystal Figueredo, she's my Cuban girlfriend."
"How long have you been together?!" Violet says excitedly.
"6 months."
"6 MONTHS?! BRING HER UP HERE!" Violet says, bouncing on Eisuke's lap happily as Daichi sleeps in the crib beside us.
Eisuke stands, stumbles and regains himself, "To my dear friends, Soryu and Reina, congratulations in your win against Widows! May your marriage be as happy as your engagment! CHEERS!"
Everyone raises their drinks, "CHEERS!"
Ota texts his girlfriend, and she comes up quickly from his suite to join the party. Her dark hair and full lips meet Ota and he lifts her up in a greeting. "I love you" she says happily, her Cuban accent apparent.
"What can I get you?" Baba says in a wink as he lifts up the alcohol in a tease.
"Don't you dare wink at her. She's my Koro." he says and pulls her close. "She'll have Cuban coffee."
The banter continues as Baba teases, and Ota falls for it. I laugh as I pull Reina into me, thankful she kills him whenever he comes on to her.
"It went well." I whisper as I sip my champagne, her draped over my body and I loved it. I loved the feel over her and the way I can hold her like this. The only one that can hold her like this; she's mine.
"It did."she says, smiling up at me.
"Which charity should we give the Ice Dragon fund to?"
"What are you thinking?"
"Heart disease." I whisper, knowing an Uncle of mine had died from it.
"Okay." she says, very relaxed in my arms which made me relax.
"I have somewhere to take you tonight Reina." I whisper, trailing kisses down her neck.
"Get a room!" Violet teases and I growl, unhappy to be stopped by her.
"Where?" she asks, her sleepy eyes latching on to mine.
"Let's go." I whisper and take her hand. Taking her away from the group and its new arrival I couldn't wait to show her what I had planned.
"Where are we going?!" she asks as we get into the elevator.
"Trust me." I whisper and squeeze her hand.
Reina POV
Relaxed and a little tipsy I stumble in the night with my hand in Soryu's. "Where are we going?" I ask for the 3rd time.
"It's a surprise." he says for the 3rd time.
We step into the Meiji Shrine, and I look around the beautiful historic air that surrounds this place.
"Come on..." he whispers.
"Okay." and I allow myself to be pulled away from the entrance, inside.
As I step inside the main hall I gasp; inside was covered in rose petals with balloons in the air.
"Sor-" "-Wait" he says interrupting me. As I step again, I notice the bouquets of white and red roses.
"Oh my-"
"Marry me, Reina?" he says, on one knee again.
"Soryu!"
"I realise last time, well... it was a bad proposal the first time round-"
"-No-"
"-Shhh..." he says wiping tears that fall. "I know I shouldn't have listened to them."
"-In all my life, I have never met anyone so loving, so understanding, so compassionate and so beautiful in face and soul than you."
"-Oh my God-"
"-Let me spend the rest of my life showing you that, proving all that is true. Marry me Reina?"
"Yes!" I cry, my voice rusty and jump on him. He catches me, of course and I kiss him deeply. "My Dragon."
"My beautiful Reina." he whispers, and through my haze of tears I can see the beautiful scenery and the petals he had planned all himself.
As I pull away he kisses my ring and I smile. "I love you."
"I love you more." he whispers back.
That night, Soryu and I spend our time between the sheets, making love as we look to our future together. It was bright, and we had gone through so much together already. We could take on the world; him as the leader of the Ice Dragons, and I as a telecommunications expert.
As I fall asleep in his arms, I knew just how lucky I was; when his arms squeeze around my waist as he hugs me from behind I knew, similar to always, we were thinking exactly the same thing.
