Numbers are made up of digits. Where a digit is placed in a number is known as it's place value.Th. H. T. U.

Adding and subtracting whole numbers.

--------I couldn't do 7-8 so I took 1 away from the number next to it (which in this case was 1, now changing the 1 to a 0) and put 1 next to 7 to make it 17. Then I did 17-8=9.
Multiplying and dividing with powers.
• the powers you need to know are 10,100,1000.
Multiplying
To multiply by a power you move the number 1,2 or 3 places to the left.
Example:
13x100=1300
