I smiled at Jack as we walked hand in hand down the school hallway. We got dirty looks from some girls, and even some from guys. Jack squeezed my hand reassuringly, smiling at me. I smiled back. Too bad its only Monday I thought, glancing around. Prom was in a few months, and I was hoping that Jack would ask me. I mean, he should.... I let that wander out of my mind. That's the last thing I need to focus on right now. School is my top priority. We arrived at my first class. "See you at lunch, alright?" He said, smiling that panty-dropping smile. I smiled, nodding my head "Okay. And pay attention to your lessons. I don't want a grounded boyfriend," I said sternly. He raised his hands in defense. "Alright, have fun," he said, kissing my cheek. "Doubtful," I said. I walked in the classroom, sitting in the back of the room. "Alright class, today is the day we start talking about mental health awareness! We'll discuss this every Monday, so expect it," my teacher said, aiming towards the two jocks sitting by their girlfriends of the week, who were giggling madly. I rolled my eyes. "Okay, so I'll pass out these papers, and each of you will fill them out, and give them to me when your finished. Please answer them truthfully, and please... No sarcasm," he said, passing papers down the rows. I got mine and started filling it out.
Have you ever considered self-harm? Yes
Do your parents have a history of mental illnesses: Yes, alot of them..
Do you inherit any of these illnesses?: Yes. All of them.
Have you ever been bullied?: Yes.
If so, how long has it gone?: 9 years
Have you reached out for help?: No, I don't need help. I fixed the issue myself.
I finished the rest of it, answering plainly, but truthfully. I sat at my desk, praying that the time went by fast.

-At Lunch-

I set my tray down, sitting beside Jack who was talking to Jake about something. "Hey Mags," Jake said, smiling at me. "Hey," I spoke. I took an apple into my hand, twisting the stem off, singing my abc's. Crazily, I got j. I took a bite out of it, setting it back on the tray. I've been eating a lot more, and I'm no longer anorexic, or bulimic. Which is good. "So, anyone know what were doing in Civics?" Ethan asked. "Oh, yeah. Bullying and mental health. You have to fill out a little packet. Its pretty stupid," I said, taking another bite of my apple. Everyone got quiet, looking at me. "Guys, relax. I didn't mention names, or even give a hint. Besides, its stupid. Ive already dealt with my problem, obviously," I stated, pointing at all of them. Never would I ever have been sitting at this table 5 months ago. "Okay, so all you have to do is fill that packet out then your done?" Grayson asked, taking a bite of his sandwich. "Yep," I said, popping the 'p'. "Cool. Is it easy?" He asked. "Sure. I think at one point they actually ask you to list your mental illnesses if you have any," I spoke. "I bet you had fun with that," Jack chuckled, slinging an arm over my shoulder. "Oh you bet," I said, smiling. "You guys wanna hang out at my place after school? My dad won't be home for a few hours," I spoke.

I know what your thinking. Your dad? But didn't he disapear off the face of the earth? Well...... Not quite. He has been looking for me ever since my mom passed.
He eventually found me, moving into Baileys old house. He has a good paying job, even though he's gone most of the time. But now when he leaves, I'm always gonna know hell come back.
"Sure," Jake said, shrugging his shoulders. "Were down," Ethan said, speaking for him and Grayson. I looked at Jaymie. "Hell ya! I haven't been to your house yet," she laughed. I laughed along with her. "Alright. Come at around 5," I said, standing up and dumping my tray. Jack followed me, intertwining our hands. "So, I was wondering if ma-" "Gilinsky! Yo! Haven't seen you in so long!" Sammy yelled from down the hall. "Hey Sam," Jack said, sounding a little upset. "Yo, you got plans tonight?" Sam asked. "Yeah, me and the gang are going to Mags house after school, why?" Jack asked. "Oh, well I was gonna see if you wanted to go out with me and Johnson and go bowling, but I can see that's a no," Sam said. Now it was his turn to be upset. "I'll let you have him tomorrow," I said, winking at Sam. He chuckled. "Alright. You better keep your word ma," he said. Him and jack did a bro hug, and then sam went back to whatever he was doing. Jack held my hand again as we walked down the hall. "What did you wan to ask me? You know, before sam interuppted?" I asked. "Oh, its nothing. Forget I even mentioned it," Jack said, sending me a weak smile. "Okay," I sighed, not letting it bother me. It'll come out sooner or later. And I'm praying its sooner, and not later. Whatever it is, its gonna decide whether or not I'll have a prom.

Here's an update. Holy guac. I feel so bad for not updating in a while. I also realized that I have like 2.06 k reads. Now, what I'm about to say hopefully won't offend you readers. But I feel like only a few of you actually interact and enjoy my story. I know this sounds crazy. And I'm probably crazy for thinking it. I only have 17 comments and maybe 35 votes. Which is sort of lacking especially since I have over 2,000 reads. And I hope everyone had this added to their library. So, please try to interact more. It makes me feel like I'm doing a good job, and I'm not just doing this for myself. So, 60 votes (I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT) and...... 30 comments is a NEW and maybe PROMPOSAL chapter.
