The tiny ants of people rush past

as I stand there unchanged like the folds of time

the streets are crowded with lives each as complex and interesting as my own

the cars scream at each other over the wind's gentle song

all life is now towered over by glass that gleams on the horizon

and there I stand

looking for one in a sea of a thousand

shoved by the merciless waves of the city
