a lot of you have requested that I update, so this chapter is gonna be really short and is just gonna wrap things up!

Marinette sat on her front porch, her baby Adrienne in her lap. The sun was setting, and painted pinks and purples across the sky. She sighed a bit and pulled Adrienne closer to her chest, cherishing the small moment.

It had been ten years since she had lost chat noir. Ten complicated years. It had felt weird at first, not being ladybug, but she had eventually gotten used to it. A load of stress had been lifted off her shoulders. Now, she didn't have to worry about the fate of the citizens of Paris resting on her shoulders. She also had time for other activities. She started poetry, and even got some of her stuff published in the school newspaper.

After a few months, Marinette realized that she was falling out of love with Adrien, which she supposed was a good thing. And eventually, her heart opened up to Alexander. She refused to believe it at first, but in junior year, they finally got together.

Alexander and Marinette ended up going to the same college, where they both got degrees in the arts. In their last year of college, Alexander finally worked up the courage to propose to Marinette, and she said yes. They married, with alya as the bridesmaid. They settled down in a little house on the outskirts of Paris, and nine months later, their first child was born. She was named Emilé, after Alexander's mother who had passed away. And three years later, they had Adrienne.

Every once in a while, she would see the new ladybug and chat noir on television. She felt a bit bad for them; they were just kids, and were going through so much. Then again, so had she. But she was older now, and realized how much that had affected her.

Marinette was busy, but she never forgot Adrien. His smile was always in the back of her head, and she always regretted falling asleep on that fateful day. Every once But she made sure that his legacy was never forgotten. For at night, she would tell them the stories of her and Adrien; of ladybug and chat noir.
