On that hill, Jaliel set up camp for the night, but before falling to sleep he had to eat grass for the low amounts of water it's leaves provided to keep himself hydrated. The first night he slept out in the open he had forgotten to light a fire to ward against the shrieks, they must have been either too preoccupied with other victims or too scared by the dragons to come out of the hell which made them... This time though, he was prepared if they came. After the night he set off for the forest.

The inside of the forest was not like I had expected it to be. Instead of pretty and magical it was so dense with fog that I could not see a thing further than 3 meters, and another affect of the fog was that it seemed to restrict my lungs to short raspy breathing already. No wander the village said it was haunted. As I also soon found out that it was a jungle so vines were hanging from trees, trying to hang me. The vines were also on the floor trying to trip me so it was very slow moving because of my impaired vision. I could cut the vines with my sword true but that could chip or blunt it with how thick the vines were. They were about 3 inches all around.

After traveling for what seemed like hours I found a clearing that had no fog it so I decided I would set up camp. my only problem was that because of the fog everything was so damp that the wood was not fire worthy. My only hope was that the fireflies would be enough to keep the shrieks away, Though once I was settled down and once again on the verge of sleep a noise of rustling in the bushes. I was so scared that the hairs on my neck were standing on end as If I was a cat to a dog. What came out though was like the forest, not what I expected. It was an old man that looked as if he was a hermit and had not seen any one for a very long time. He had matted hair that grew past his eyes and a beard that reached past his pectorals and on to his stomach.

As suddenly as he appeared he exclaimed "Wha you doin in mi safe aven?!?"
"I uh... um... I" I stammered.

"Weal spi it ou boye" The old man said.
