Luna Shadow's Confusion

Chapter 1

I blinked up at the dark smoky gray sky, black clouds moved slowly among it. Wincing at the pain surrounding my body I tried to adjust to my surroundings. Stars peeked out from the black clouds dimly lighting the bare branches of the trees overhead. Cringing at the piercing pain I tried to move and turn over. Leaves crunched beneath my sore body as is stared out into the blinding darkness. Looking back to the sky, a cloud cleared away from the full moon. Its silver glow lit the ground for a minute. Then horror struck me as I looked ahead. A dark tall figure was staring right at me! Its menacing eyes pierced into my soul. Its tattered black fur turned silver with lighted stripes. The blood in my veins boiled with fear. I dared not breath,blink or move. A cloud passed back over the moon leaving me in pitch blackness face to face with a Wolf. Suddenly a howl sounded from a little way off.
"Get up!" A female voice growled from behind me. Thunder rumbled overhead and lightning flashed. Horror-struck,I realized the wolf was no longer there."I said get up!" The voice barked again. "I can't!" I said in a broken whisper. Who's talking to me? I thought. Is it just me imagining it? Is this all a dream? "Repeat these words after me," the voice sighed. "Why? Who are you?" I asked suspiciously. " Just do it if you wanna live!" I could tell whoever was talking was getting annoyed so I agreed to. "Luna Shadow." The voice said. "Luna Shadow." I repeated confused and light headed.
"I am Luna Shadow."
"I'm Luna Shadow."
"No say 'I am Luna Shadow'."
"I am Luna Shadow."
"And I wish..."
"And I wish."
"To be a wolf!"
"To be a wolf!" I finished. "Wait! What?" To late! My body started to glow and the pain sucked away. That's when I realized I was in the air and my arms were growing longer! Soon enough my arm weren't arms anymore,they had turned into paws. Then I dropped to the ground with a loud thud."Oww..." I moaned. I could see! I looked around and saw the forest and saw... The wolf! The wolf padded closer it's leafy green eyes somewhat friendly. I tried to back up but tripped over my tail. Wait. My tail? I looked down to see I was a wolf myself! "Come on we don't have much time!" The wolf urged me to my white paws. Silently I followed the wolf through the forest. It felt like we ran for miles.

We finally made it to a clearing. Many wolves were there looking to four other wolves sitting on a rock. None of the wolves seemed to notice them as they weaved through the crowd and sat down near a pure white wolf with piercing white eyes. "Raven Cry! Where have you been? The gathering started a while ago and it was your turn to be the moonlight howler!"The white wolf snapped at the wolf who led her here. So that's what her name is! I thought triumphantly. " And who's this? Oh no... You didn't turn another lost human into a wolf again did you?" She widened her eyes and led Raven Cry and I away from the others. "What? She was hurt okay? Was I supposed to leave her there and let her get eaten by Darkpack or Lightpack?" Raven Cry whispered. "Look Snow Drift! I know I'll get in trouble but we need more members or the other packs will drive us out!" Raven Cry clenched her jaws and locked her gaze on Snow Drift. "Fine. But she has to stay away from Sunpack's territory until we can take her home..." Snow Drift nodded at me before glaring coldly and turning back to the gathering "Don't mind her. She lost all her kin when she was only a pup." Raven Cry nudged me to follow her. I followed her like before but this time I wasn't afraid of her. Raven Cry suddenly halted and looked at me her eyes wide with terror. "What is it?" I whispered. "Well,well,well... What do we have here? Raven Cry and... Hmm another human wolf I suspect?" A handsome black male wolf stepped out of no where and glared at us. His beautiful Amber eyes locked with mine. "Humans are not welcome here..." He growled. "Thorn Claws! Attack!" Raven Cry screeched and ran behind me as I retreated. A swift brown she-wolf was on me and Raven Cry's tail growling furiously. Help me somebody! I'll never outrun this wolf!
