A few days later I had arranged for everyone to meet at my place, around 6:30 Pm everyone had arrived expect Matthew and Ashely. "Looks like she can't even commit to showing up." I mumbled. Sam looked at me but I just smiled and went back to being pissed when she looked away. A moment later a knock on the door broke the silence. "About fucking time." I muttered under my breath as I opened the door. But it wasn't Ashely nor Matthew but Josh. I thought that there was going to be a massive outrage that he was here and it ended up with him and Mike in a fist fight or the word psycho would be used quite a lot, but no. "Josh is here?" Jess to some degree smiled, Mike then looked at the door and he confirmed.
"Josh is here." He also smiled a little. Josh entered the room fairly confident that no one would kill him. I shut the door and sat back down.
"So why'd you call us here?" Sam asked being very protective of her bump, I was scared for their future child I really hoped it didn't get Josh's crazy genes.
"Well I know this is a long shot considering what we've been through but I'm sure you all know about Sam's situation." He said we all nodded our head and I could see that Mike was going to make a joke about how she was getting fat but I just shot him a death stare and he got the hint. "Well I'm just gonna come out with it I'm the father of that baby." He paused to let us express the shock but instead it was spent by Jess yelling. "Yes! Called it, $30 thank you Michael!" and then Mike disappointedly pulled out his wallet and handed her some cash.
"Wait what?" Sam asked, I'm pretty sure everyone else in the room was confused as well. She then started to explain.
"Well I know he'd get you pregnant but I knew you guys would hook up." Even I was confused, why would they bet on that?
"Okay?" Josh started, "Well still I think it's pretty clear that we alone cannot raise this child by ourselves but I was wondering and if you wanna say no it's okay but if you guys would help us?" He asked, I smiled a little it takes a lot to admit you need help. Jess squealed and then excitedly askes. "Josh are you asking us to be the child's godparents?" He smiled and Sam started lightly crying.
"Yeah I guess so." Sam got up and hugged him tightly and she was going to say something when a loud knock on the door accrued.
I got up to answer it and to my shock it was my two least favourite people in this world, "Hey man sorry we're late." Matt said as he made his way in hand in hand with Ashely. They walked to were Josh was and Ashley was the first when to use the word psycho. "What the hell is this psycho doing here? Did you invite him Christopher?" I swear to god if it was Matthew saying that and not Ashely I would have smack the shit out of him. "Yeah I did." I said putting my hand on Josh's shoulder, she gave me a dirty look and Matt continued.
"What the fuck is he doing here are we forgetting that he nearly killed us all?" I was about to say something but to my surprise Jess was the one who stood up for him.
"And what the fuck you doing here, you forgetting that you left me behind and nearly got me killed?" Ashely stood face to face with Jess and nearly said something but I broke them up before she could say something, the Jess and Emily bitch fights were bad enough I didn't want to see Ashely and Jess'. But it wasn't them I should have stopped it was Matt.
"If it wasn't for this prick I wouldn't have seen Mike and Emily flirting which wouldn't have made me dump her which wouldn't have made Emily kill herself. Butterfly effect that shit Chris." I and everyone else in the room was speechless, did he really just sink that low? I was also surprised that Jess didn't make this into a giant bitch fight between her and Mike. The silence was broken by the sounds of Josh's tears. Seeing him cry was like seeing a basket of puppies and kittens dying. "You're right Matt." He sobbed.
"No he isn't Josh! This isn't your fault and Matthew if you hate cheaters so much than why did you make Ashely cheat on me huh?" Matt was about to fight back and I was ready for a fist fight but Josh broke it up. "No just stop. He's right it's my fault I'll leave now. Goodbye." He placed a kiss on the top of Sam's head and then waved goodbye to the rest of us. He slammed the door as Sam ran to me for comfort.
"You happy dick?" Mike said
