Your *POV*
I heard low snickers and laughter. I knew who they were laughing about, everybody did. You see there's this guy who's well I guess a 'nerd' or an 'outcast' you might as well say. But he's honestly a really nice guy, he means no harm. But no one would ever give him the time of day to actually get to know him. He has a different type of style compared to most of the other guys at our school, but still. I like it actually, it's him, and not like how those other guys dress up along with 'new' in fashion today. His tucked in shirts, a vest, and his tie to complete the outfit. But in my opinion I love his glasses, they're quite bigger than normal yeah, but it fits his face perfectly. He's perfect to me.
But there's one secret I know about him; Marcel. His scars, but his tattoos as well. You see there was this one time where the jocks basically cornered him and beat him up leaving him in the girls locker rooms. I saw his body curled up against a locker. He muttered words under his breathe.
'You're a freak' 'You're worthless, a coward' 'I don't belong here'
He lifted up his sleeve up to his shoulder, he ran his fingers over his wrist; Tears landed on his skin, but all I focused on were his tattoos. I never would've thought he was a fan of ink, but again I never really knew him personally. It made me wonder what else he was hiding - I walked closer trying to get a better view, but my foot hit one of the legs of the benches. Marcel jerked his head up pulling his sleeve down, he glanced around his breathing became heavier. I scooted back slowly hoping he wouldn't see me. To my luck he didn't, he got up right away stumbling out of the locker rooms.
I sighed sitting down, I just stared at the vacant room. My eyes landed on something shiny. I crawled towards it, it was a paper airplane necklace. My fingers wrapped around the cold metal bringing it in my hands. Marcel must've dropped this while he ran out.

And that brings you to the present day. After that incident I tried looking for Marcel, but he never showed up it was quite strange. He's never missed a day at school let alone a whole week, being me I came to my worst conclusions. I shook the thoughts off hoping today he'd come to school. I waved bye to my mom as I walked up to my school. My eyes roamed across the school yard in hopes of finding him.
And there he was, sitting on a bench that was already full of food tossed at him. I cringed at the sight, god people are cruel now-a-days. I started rethinking about going up to him, what if he just gets up and leave? Or he just thinks I'm some weird girl? I shook my head and started walking up to him, the more closer I got I noticed he had a book. His face was turned towards me, my stomach began to grow butterflies. My hands became shaky. I took deep breathes.
My feet crunched the leaves beneath me, he hadn't noticed me.. Yet. I took a shaky swallow as my breathing was becoming more heavier. I didn't get why I was becoming nervous. I mean I've never talked to him, so maybe that's why?
On the last leaf Marcel's head looked up meeting my eyes. I stopped walking - Frozen in my spot. His eyes widened, he gripped his book tighter. He swallowed hardly his eyes still locked with mine. I never noticed how green they were, just imagine him with contacts on. God they're beautiful.
He abruptly got up getting his backpack just as the bell rang. He didn't bother to look back he walked past the others ignoring their ruder remarks. I looked down at his necklace, dammit.
