"Lena, you'll enjoy this, okay it's just going to the cinema and grabbing a bite to eat?"
"I know but I just miss home, ya know?"
It's been eight months to the day. I miss home. But I have no home to go too. So what am I really missing? I missed the yelling with my sisters, the constant nagging with my mother, I missed Sunday mornings when my mother would take us to church. I miss the little things.
But ever since the day, nothing's been the same.
"Lena? Earth to Lena Crow?"
"What?" Yeah, sorry I spaced."
"I know, I see it in your face here and there."
"Mia?"
"Hmm." She replied tentativley
"Will it ever stop hurting?" I whispered as I sat dazed on my bed.
"Yes, someone will take the pain away. You just don't know who." She gave me here smile that met her eyes.
I knew she knew how I felt. It was comforting to relate to someone who knows you and your pain like the back of their hand.
"Okay, I guess I can't hide forever... but let me just freshen up first?"
"Yeah, okay but Marc and Jason will be waiting downstairs. I let them in, they drove behind me." She trailed off leaving Jason's name out.
"Excuse me?"
"What?" She replied as if she didn't just invite Jason, my ex.
"Jason is my ex. It's still werid for me." I didn't make eye contact only looking from the hard wood floors back to my twiddling thumbs.
"Jason is Marc's bestfriend? And Marc well he's hot and I really want his tongue down on my-"
"Okay! Okay! Enough! I get the big picture."
With that I was defeated and headed to my bathroom to look presentable for this god-awful evening. I wasn't ready for a evening out with dickhead 1 & 2.
