Chapter Three: Day Four
I woke up. No not really. It was more like someone turned a switch on inside me and I came to life. I feel automated. I went on as I would any morning with a quick stretch only to stop halfway into it. I don't need to do this anymore. I thought about it and went on with the stretch out of habit. It makes me feel more...alive? I turned myself around still seated trying to get a pop out of my spine, but to no success. I sat on my bed a few more minutes and just thought through the past days. My one real boyfriend cheated on me. I crashed his car. I died. I am dead to everyone else. I am a Vampire.
That was a big one. I placed my feet on the blue shag carpet and just stood for a minute. Nothing came to mind but then my throat began to burn. Ow. I put my hand to my throat and rubbed the area trying to rid myself of the burn. Keeping my mind off the burn, well trying to, I went over to the wardrobe and pulled it open and searched through it. I was trying to think through the fog that was my brain and concentrate on finding clothes and putting them on. Who knew it would be so hard. I quickly snatched some jeans and a white t-shirt out from the wardrobe and put them on. My hands started to shake as I tried to pull my jeans up. I thought for the longest time I was never going to get the button through the hole but when it happened I had a mini party in my head.
There was a soft knock at my door. I stopped what I was doing and stood very still, just trying to listen. I figured my new enhanced hearing would help me figure out who was behind the door. There was no other sound other than another soft knock on my door. I opened to the door to reveal Erebus standing there with what looked like concern but was quickly covered up with his stony mask.
"Here." He said and handed a cup in my direction.
I didn't need to know what was in it. I could smell it as soon as I opened the door. I snatched it out of his hand kind of rudely and chugged the cups contents down. I felt my fangs trying to bite into the cup but I stopped myself from putting holes into the plastic. To my utter shame I started to lick the blood out of the cup as my sire looked down on me. He finally took it from me and I almost hissed at him, almost.
"Better?" He asked eyeing me down his nose.
I had not noticed it before but the burn in my throat had gone away to say the least.
"Yeah. Thanks." I said. I thought about it as he started to walk down the hallway.
"Hey Erebus." I called out.
He did not say anything and turned around to face me.
"How did you know, that, um...I was...hungry?" I asked kind of nervous.
"I am your Sire. We have a blood connection. Like a mother and mewling child. Only your mewling I can feel what it is you need." He stated.
"Well thank you." I said looking at his forehead trying to avoid his piercing blue eyes.
"You should head back to bed. The sun does not set for another five hours." He said and walked back down the hallway.
I went back into my room and looked at the clock. Two o'clock in the afternoon? That is weird. I would normally be getting out of school right about now. Would I even be able to fall asleep? Why the heck was I thristy during the day? Wouldn't my body know I couldn't go out to eat? Hey I can't just order takeout anymore. I climbed back into my bed, cold with my absence. I shut my eyes and next thing I knew I was out.

I woke up and turned over to look at the clock. It told me it was 6:30 at night. I just laid there for a minute. I got up and walked over and put some socks on my feet and tried to hunt down my favorite shoes. Ah, found them under my bed. I quickly pulled on my black and blue Van shoes and hurried toward the door. When I opened it I found Jonny in mid-knock. He looked up at me and smiled.
