Days Gone By.

. It's been a rough morning. I woke up to find my small campsite surrounded by about 7 of those things. You might not thing they are much but for a girl like me, there quite a handful. I've been alone for the past week. Yesterday, I arrived at Atlanta but decided to stay out of the city for the night. This morning when those things attacked I had to climb trees the whole way to the city. It's a good thing dad would ship me to all those camps where they teach you survival skills, and you know? the usual shit you need to know to survive. I still have supplies left, but I did stop at a small country Gun store, got some ammo and weapons, and took off. That's the sad thing now a days. You can't settle in one place because you know you are not safe. I really miss that feeling, the feeling of having a home.

I'm walking towards the city, even though dad said to stay away from places with large populations. But Hey!? He said to find my aunt. I had to leave my car behind to avoid making to much noise. I'm entering the city and I keep for a couple of minutes. I was in soccer so, I kinda speed walk. I faced a few of those things on the way. I usually call them geeks, why? I don't know. I got to the downtown area of Atlanta, I caught the attention of a few geeks....oops. I kept semi-running or jogging, but out of the nowhere the geeks attention went to something else. It was a poor horse. I know i'm such a sucker when it comes to animals. Especially Horses. I hid behind some random car, and observed carefully what the geeks were after. It was a man. An actual human being. I haven't seen another person these past days. I know I have to help him, but the poor guy is completely surrounded by geeks. Have some balls Scarlett. I tell myself. I shouldn't have thought twice about it. I took another glimpse and the geeks were feasting on the horse. Ugly Bastards. My main priority was to help the guy. I saw him run towards the tank with many geeks hot on his trail.His life is over. The poor man is not going to make it. I need to stop thinking these negative thoughts. I watched as the man got inside the a military tank. How clever. I also noticed a bag full of guns. It probably had ammo inside. It was tempting to just go get it, but I wasn't going to risk it. The place was filled with hungry geeks. I was trying to come up with a plan on how can I help this man get out. I know, i'm aware that I don't know him and that he could be a rapist, murderer, kidnapper, whatever. I got to trust my gut now a days. I waited to see if the geeks would leave. These motherfuckers wouldn't give up...Ahhh god damn it. Calm down Scar, you need to keep it cool.I was caught in my own daydream. I knew I had to leave this place. I started walking through some alley. I wasn't watching where I was going so I tripped and ripped a piece of my jeans. Great. I made a lot of noise when I fell down, so I attracted a few geeks. Life Can't get any better. I thought to myself with a tone of sarcasm. I reached a corner and the geeks were closing in on me. I grabbed my pocket knife and threw it at one of the geek's head. For a rookie, I have great aim. I got it right between his eyes. I quietly did a little chant. Then I realized I was still trapped. I was desperately looking for any way out. I considered my options. Climbing? no. Running as fast as I can? they will catch me. Shooting myself and ending everything now? good choice. I raised the gun to my head. This is the end, this is far as Scarlett goes.I was about to pull the trigger when suddenly the locked door busted open. One man came out with a baseball bat hitting the geeks with it."Go Inside if you want to live!" I didn't hesitate so I went in. Gosh, I got to stop putting myself in these type of situations. "The name's T-Dog and your welcome" the man said. "Thank you so much, my name is Scarlett...so umm, do you travel alone or are there more.?" I asked. "ohh yeah come meet the others Scarlett." I wonder why they were inside this building? "Scarlett this is Merle.." " Who da fuck are you?" Merle said with a harsh and a tone of rudeness in his voice. I can't stand it when people talk with sass to me. I got my knife and threw it at the item he was holding. "What's your fuckin problem" he screamed at me. "The name is Scarlett."I responded. "Wow you have great aiming!" An Asian boy said. "What are you talking about? I missed " I assured. "We got a joker here, My name is Glenn, and this is Jacqui" Jacqui waved at me and gave me a friendly smile. She looked back at Merle with a bitter look. I can tell Merle is a bit disliked. " She still needs to meet Andrea." T-dog informed. "Who? An-ddrea ? " I stuttered, hoping it was who I expected. " Andreeaaa!" Jacqui whisper-shouted. "Coming!" I quickly recognized her voice.It Was my Aunt. I found her. She looked straight at me and dropped the item she was holding. "Scarlett,I thought I was never going to see you again- I can't.....where are your parents, Where is my brother? " She asked as she hugged me tightly, lightly kissing my cheeks. "Dad and mom didn't make it,but dad told me to come and look for you and I found you..." I said sobbing into her shoulder. "Your daddy always said you were a strong girl, and once again you proved it." She said wiping away my tears,and I noticed she had tears of her own. I wiped my tears and quickly got back on track. "Where's Amy? Is she okay?" I asked worriedly. "She is fine, back at camp".... "You mean...there's Moree?!" "Yes, Scar there's more waiting for us." Everyone just stared in amazement with hope filled in their eyes. "Well, we got ourselves some damn dramatic family reunion" Merle said being a bitch like always. "Guuys...we still need to figure out how we are going to help Rick get out of the tank. I used the radio thing to talk to him, and we developed a plan." Glenn informed. "Well what are we waiting for?" I asked. We need to get Rick out of there...quick.
