"What the hell does this even mean??", I asked confused.
Alex looked back at me squinting his gray eyes at me with his messy brown hair facing all directions. "Don't you remember? Miss. Alori has been going on about it the past week". He replied.
"No I don't. Can we take a break? this is so boring." I moaned, pushing my A-level chemistry book out of the way and flopping onto the bed. "I have more important things to worry about, like what I'm going to wear for the Christmas party my mums hosting." I said while lying on my back.
"Don't worry about it I'm sure you'll look great". He said glancing up at me from his MacBook. He snapped it shut and walked to his closet opened it and took two shirts out; one white Armani shirt, and the other a dark blue Ralph Lauren. Alex always looked classy no matter where he went.
"Which one do you think I should wear?" He asked holding them out one in each hand.
"I don't know.. try them on first".
Alex takes of his shirt, revealing his perfect, tanned six pack and buttons the white shirt on. Then the same with the blue one."Um I think you should wear the white Armani one", I then say.
"OK cool", he changes back into the top he was previously wearimg and then starts tugging on my leg. "Come on Gazelle breaks over."
"That was literally one minute long! Who in the world spend their first day of Christmas break studying?". Then I throw a pillow at him to get him to stop annoying me. Unfortunately it doesn't work."Hey, do you really want to get into a pillow fight cause we know that I always win", responds Alex cheekily while laughing.
I stand up, still on the bed and say while grinning,"No you don't!"
"Yes I do, I have been winning every pillow fight since I met you, so in ten whole years." Alex laughs.
"Oh really, are you that tough?" I responded, then throw a pillow at his face.
"That's it Gazelle Williams get ready to be squashed!", and with that Alex pounces onto the bed and attacks me flinging three pillow at me in one go I jump off the bed squealing for my life. I try to hit him with the pillow I was holding but he moved and I ended up hitting air. We were laughing hysterically none stop about our silly game until we we're tearing up.
"See I told you I always win" Alex said with his smile stretched from ear to ear revealing his perfect white teeth.
"OK, OK fine", I smile back.
There's a knock on Alex's door the door open slowly and we can see a tiny face peep through it was Alex's little sister, Julia.
"Hello Julia how are you?", I greet her.
"Hi, mummy says come down she made us hot chocolate".
We left the room with the pillows all over the place and headed down stairs. I can smell the sweet aroma of chocolate coming from the kitchen.
"What was all that racket?" Alex's mother, Lola asks us.
"Nothing mum", Alex replies kissing his mum on the cheek as he grabs the cups of hot chocolate passing me one.
"Ya course nothing, she smirks at us", Julia giggles. I blush. I never thought of Alex that way we were always just best friends and everyone knew that.
